I was concerned because the dress fabric had such a strong dye scent and the front of the dress was almost 2 inches longer than the back on the hanger and when I tried it on. After I washed the dress and hemmed the front I am happy with it. I am impressed with the details and it pressed easily enough.

I have on numerous occasions bought items from Historical Emporium. The trousers you sell are very good in material and workmanship. Years ago I could buy Scully brand suspender trousers at many of the western store outlets but about 35 years ago they stopped stocking these trousers which I wear as everyday dress especially while I am working and riding my horses. I love the internet for very few things, but it is a blessing to find the trousers , shirts, and suspenders along with other items of apparel you sell. Everything I have purchased so far has been exceptional. I will definitely shop your store again, as long as I am able. The watch fobs look nice and will compliment my watch chains. Could have been larger diameter.

Over a number of years I have purchased numerous articles of clothing. As a SASS and NCOWS competative shooter it is getting to the point that I have more 1800's clothing, from Historical Emporium, than I have modern clothing. All of it is excellent quality, historically correct "cut", wears like iron, fits well, and sized as advertised. The customer service, when I have used it, was friendly and efficient. I had to return a blouse that was too small. The website recommended ordering a replacement rather than doing a straight exchange, and returning the too-small blouse for a refund. This was suggested as the fastest way to get the right size blouse quickly, rather than encountering a possible processing delay with an exchange. This worked very nicely. I got my new blouse in a couple of days and my refund a day or so later. I had dreaded the hassle of an exchange, but this method worked very smoothly. Happily, the blouse was packing in a standard USPS flat box, on a hanger, folded neatly with two pins and covered with a plastic sleeve. The blouse was ready to try on, and easy to repack neatly when it didn't fit. I don't expect to need to return any future blouses I order now that I know how the sizing runs, but it was nice to learn that returns were nothing to be dreaded.
