A little hard to buckel

I ordered this along with the goggles as a gift for a family member. The sizing guide was perfect, everything fit and the quality of product was fantastic! Highly recommended!

I just bought a Morgan +8, so bought this (and some goggles) to motor around in. Fit is perfect, soft, and well made.

I use these in vintage open cars. They ad comfort to it. Great quality product

I purchased a Medium based on the size chart for a client. It was much smaller, to the point I assumed it had been mislabeled and was a Small. I returned it for a Large and that fit more like the Medium should. Otherwise it looks good, has a lot of nice details. PS they will charge you again for shipping if you do an exchange, plus you pay to mail it back to them, so that's a fairly chunky add to the cost.

So...let's just throw it out there...you might as well go ahead and purchase one, because you won't find better unless you have one custom made. The material is top quality, the stitching well done, the fit is good if you order one size larger than your hat size, the price is very good, and most people will think it's the greatest helmet they've ever seen, which is probably true. HOWEVER...if you are a history buff, this helmet is oh so close, but not quite. Overall, the design is pretty accurate, and is a good representation of WWI to 1930s helmets. To make it a really fantastic helmet and completely historical, however, three problems should be addressed. 1. The ear hole is in the wrong place (at least for me). This is the biggest problem that I could find. It should be placed further rearward and the flap made longer to cover it. You can see what I mean if you google images of original helmets. This probably won't matter to anyone else unless they plan on actually using the helmet in an open cockpit, as I do. 2. The straps are not quite right, but serviceable. The straps at the back to hold the goggles in place are buttoned and unfinished. They should either be sewn or use snaps. The keeper for the main strap after it is fastened is also too small and will probably eventually break. 3. The main buckle is a roller buckle, which wasn't invented until the 1950s. For these reasons, I knocked it down a star. I will probably modify mine by changing...

I have wanted a "leather" flying helmet since I first watched Snoopy. One of my favorite movies growing up was the Blue Max. I now have a "Leather" flying helmet that fits my pumpkin of a head.

Hello, While I like the leather and the helmet itself, I was disappointed that the rear buckle broke very easily. Luckily I do not need said buckle and will enjoy my hat regardless. Thanks, Bill

This helmet is cool and functional - wear it all the time. The detail and craftsmanship is the highest level of excellence. I was so very surprised on inspection at the over the top quality in the new world of sloppy made products.

Very well made , genuine cowhide , authentic , looks great riding my motorcycle. Size runs small ,I got a medium , it fits well. Highly recommend

Only one small regret about purchasing this…My husband may wear it on a date night in the fun car and yes I may have to be seen with him. Doh! Otherwise I really like the edges that have an orange tint as they match his goggles perfectly. Yep kind of regretting those goggles as well… The helmet was well made and it was nice to find something with size options.
