Victorian Mens Shirts
A white starched shirt has been a staple of mens dress wear for centuries. In the victorian era, however, men also enjoyed patterned and bright shirts to offset the starched white collars and cuffs. Formal dress shirts would feature a pleated front, pleated bib, or plain front and a fancy collar: a fold-down wingtip collar, a stiff high stand collar, or the rounded banker collar.
Work shirt styles were less rigid and included full-placket and pull-over styles, bib fronts and a wide selection of colors, stripes and patterns.
We offer a full line of period-correct mens shirts, including high collar styles, pullover and bib-front styles, and styles that feature detachable collars. We also offer band-collar shirts, including a full line of rustic work shirts that are as comfortable and functional today as they were 150 years ago.
