Awesome stache!
This is a high quality mustache, not a dime store cheapie. The California cancer warning was an unpleasant surprise, and the box it arrived in was cracked and kind of flimsy. But the product itself is very realistic!

A Strong Stache
Clever By Half Productions purchased this moustache for our production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and it *just* fell shy of holding up to outdoor humidity conditions.
Will you need separate spirit gum if you purchase this? Yes.
Will you need moustache wax if you're using this outside? Yes.
But ... the shape holds well, the back is quality, and the bristles will take a waxing back into shape.
For the price, for no more than a couple of hours of wear a day, you could do a lot worse.

After a bit of trimming (tape and mustache) the stache was applied over my own real mustache. Fit nicely, covered my trimmed up mustache (grey by the way under the black making a "nice" double surprise when removed) held up remarkably well throughl quick removal (as part of the scene). It has ridden through 3 rehearsals and I may not even have to use the extra taping for opening tongiht. I am astounded. Even with scissor trimming the mustache held together well. I'm impressed. This mustache held up very well despite the abuse it took during the run of the show. I had to put it on and take it off in a hurry quite a bit during each show and it took the beating like a champ. The mustache is a deep black and looked great on stage! A great choice!

I am sure the mustache is fine and would have looked very authentic. However, we did not get a chance to use it yet. The display that we did for college had to be carried out under the restrictions of COVID 19 rules and no one would have seen the mustache under the mask anyway. So we are saving it for better days. When I received it the mustache was much thinner than it appeared in the picture. I am afraid that when I put the tape underneath that the white will show through. Top to bottom and side to side length was fine but there were very few hairs on the mustache itself and there was hardly any gray at all in it. I didn't expect a white or totally gray as that is not what was pictured but I did expect there to be some gray in it. Otherwise the quality seemed very good.

I loved this mustache. I'm a drag king performer and I found it looked very realistic. So far it has held up over two shows. I've managed to attach it with spirit gum and it holds just fine and hasn't fallen apart when I take it off.

I'd purchased this item before, and experienced no problems (save forgetting to trim the adhesive!), however most recently upon ordering the same product found asymmetrical curls at the ends. For me, a negligible flaw, and not to significantly diminish an otherwise high quality product.

Darker than I expected, needed a little combing
I ordered this is Brown, but the color I received is closer to black. The ends weren't twisted as neatly as I would have liked, so I combed them out and re-positioned them with some hair gel. The hair is a little sparse, but with a little combing and some make up you can make it work. My husband uses eyelash glue to keep it in place.

Very natural looking
The mustache is real human hair, and can be washed and styled. It gets quite flat in the packaging, and so it might be best to wash it and restyle. However, be prepared to have a curling iron for the ends. We used the mustache without washing, and it was fine, but did look a little flat. The ends will also stick out away from the face, unless a little additional tape is used to hold it in. These are not complaints, just suggestions on proper usage. There is also a mesh backing that extends around the edges. This can be trimmed but 1) the hair is actually woven onto the backing, so be careful; 2) it can be used to blend in existing facial hair; 3) it was not at all noticeable in our performance. Definitely recommend as a realistic mustache for performance usage.
