i'm in absolute denial about my age, and after a recent hospital stay, I realized that the early morning dog walk might require that I have some backup when going over a curb. I remembered I ordered a cane from historical emporium for my mom, and checked to see what might work for me. since I recently moved back to Georgia, the bulldog seemed like a no-brainer. I'm 6' tall and it's a perfect height and the dog face fits in the palm well. it's sturdy and exceeded my expectations

After much debate on what to wear for Comic Con this year (I vacillated between investing in a high-end Star Wars costume, the Bandersnatch from Alice in Wonderland, etc), I at last decided to go as a Victorian Doctor and purchased an ENTIRE outfit along with many accessories, all at the VERY last minute, from Historical Emporium. Everything I ordered was in stock (Woot!) and I upgraded the shipping to Next Day Air based on my indecisiveness and my waiting to order 3 days before Comic Con. I placed my order on Sunday night. My order arrived Tuesday! EVERYTHING I ordered was perfectly amazing and of high quality! I was (am!) blown away! AND, to top it all off, Historical Emporium refunded my Next Day Air Shipping ($63!) because I live in Southern California, which is within their 1 day ground shipping zone already. What? Who does that? Holy moly - what a great company, what outstanding service and what amazing products! I'd write more but Comic Con starts in 24 hours and I've got to get ready!

Got this to polish off a gambler outfit I put together for CAS. I have a bum ankle and need a good cane from time to time. Looks great, feels good in hand, only detractor would be the rubber cap on the foot. It'd be nice to have a brass ferrule.

Great cane and it's well made. I bought this to go with my old west gambler outfit for when I want to classy up the joint. I also have a bad ankle and so this was a big help that looks good too. The head screws on but holds tight and is comfortable. My only issue is that it has a rubber boot on the bottom. I was hoping I could replace it was a brass tip and attach a rubber foot on the bottom of that. I'll figure something out. Otherwise I'm extremely happy with this.

Due to an injury, I needed a functional cane, so I thought I'd get which is Victorian period correct. I got several compliments on the cane when I used the cane at a Western event. The quality and visual impact is excellent. It's heavy and solid and the brass handle is beefy. I made the right choice.

Love the looks and feel. I wish it was a little longer, I was using an expandable one for a few week until I found and received this one and the extra inch or two seemed to be better, however this one is the height all the expert say should be right for me, If they could make an inch or two longer and allow customers to cut to right height (which it come with instructions for shorter people to cut and put the cap back on. It would be perfect, I love it.

I thought the Brass /Walnut Cane I just purchased was a great buy both in quality of product and style. I just had total Knee replacement surgery 5 days ago and just returned from the hospital. I plan to use the cane as part of my re-hab process as soon as I finish with the walker in about a week. My PT therapist said she thought it look very elegant and I agree. I will likely use it after I don't need it.

The gold pommeau is quite well done, it does look antique. The flasks hidden inside are a source of fun and interest, everyone likes it. It is only the rubber base at the end that looks bulky and cheap, it can be removed though.

What a clever companion this walking stick has become! It has a number of flasks that slide inside the cane for concealed libations. Great for liquids as tightly sealed but almost anything could be secretly held within. The brass hand-grip makes a perfect topper.

I own many canes. Some quite more expensive. This cane is by far my favorite. It has a quality feel. The flasks are perfectly sized and slide out of the handle very smoothly! Would recommend to anyone looking for a great cane!

I use a cane for balance. I prefer the knob top since I am not putting too much weight on it. This cane is great for that purpose, also looks great and has a nice heft. Had a different style silver plated one from another outlet and have dropped it several times and the silver plating has dented off, so that is why I got the solid brass. So far so good.

I always told myself I wouldn't start relying on a walking stick, but my back says otherwise some days, so I decided I'd buy a stick which was also useable as a costume accessory. This fits the bill very well. It's sturdy enough for support, strong and has a little heft to it. One very tiny fault - the metal collar below the handle does not sit tightly on mine, and is a little rough on the fingers after a while. The easy answer is to just change grip, but a tighter, straighter fit would be nice. All the same, I love this cane.

A little bit short for a 5-11" frame (i have hip replacement issues, so do have a need for a cane on occasion), but it's certainly a good quality cane with a bit of heft - whether for actual practical use, or in cosplay.

Excellent all round

I picked up this walking stick for a pair of reasons. A: I love the classic look of a gentleman with a walking stick, and B: I often have hip and back pain that are eased with the use of a cane. The order arrived promptly, and the cane was just as pretty as shown. What they could not show was the beautiful heft and balance of this walking stick. The feel of it in hand is simply divine. It moves quite nicely as an extension of my arm. I have studied a few martial arts, and the sturdiness of this makes me feel confident that it would hold up quite well if I needed to teach an assailant one of the finer points of bartitsu. All in all, the expense is well worth the quality of the product.

I wanted something nicer than an aluminum old folk's cane to help me move around after tearing my ACL. Received a lot of compliments. Knob doesn't thread on quite straight. Very happy otherwise.

This cane looks and feels really good. It is very robust. The screwed-on head is very stable. It is designed so it can be cut if it is too long for you. There's even instructions on how to determine the right length for you. I like it so much, I'm gonna be looking for excuses to carry it around.

For the price I expected better quality, but it looks like a cane you would use for a Halloween costume, it looks very cheap.

Was surprised when I received this skull cane. This is a hefty cane with an impressively sized skull. Thought it was going to be a bit slimmer and smaller, daintier. Not complaining mind you. This is a bad ass cane, and even more so thanks to its heftiness. Definitely worthwile purchase.

I love this cane. I feel quite regal with it, but the rubber tips are ugly and it doesn't have a brass tip underneath. I can easily (and have) purchased such a tip to really bring it together, but it should be included. The metal collar also isn't quite perfectly aligned. Minor issues. Overall it is beautiful, it has a good weight and is balanced around 11 inches down from the top. Which gives it excellent balance, but I'm one that prefers a balance closer to the hand, no more than 6-8 inches. Beautiful product, I highly recommend.

I like this cane with two small exceptions, the black is easily scratched and has to be colored in with a marker and I wish that there was a metal cap available for the bottom of the cane.

Love the cane....has a great look and feel, being nicely weighted at the top. Can be adjusted easily for the right height.

My father loves his gentlemen's cane! I ordered this as he just needs to be able to stabilize his right side as he walks. He wouldn't use the other canes we have given him. Because this looks like an expensive cane it loves it and it says it is perfect!
