Humboldt Striped Vest - Blue

This is my new favorite outfit. I feel like a fancy banker or perhaps a mobster. The color is like a worn/distressed navy and the stipes add a dapper touch that accentuates my 6'3" super slim frame. The buttons match the stripes nicely. I feel as the fabric and pattern will wear well for many years. I'm a bit in between sizes, 42" chest, but the medium fits handsomely. 36" waist is my normal, stayed with 36" and they fit great. I do wish the best came in a tall option, but it covers my suspender tabs and waist strap on my trousers. I couldn't wear it with modern waisted pants, but again I'm 6'3" and 190 lbs. I have several vest and trouser sets from Historical Emporium, super excited to finally have something blue.

The vest is of course great quality as I have come to expect. Fit is perfect, however with the light on the pictures it gave tje appearance that the color was that of a lighter blue. It is in fact very dark. It is almost a denim vest. Not exactly what I had expected.

Just got my Humboldt vest, this is a very well made and sharp-looking vest. Nice heavy material, in a dark slate blue/grey, with pleasing stripes. This one does run slightly large - I ordered a XXL, and have a 50" chest and stand 6'2". There is definitely room in the chest, and more in the waist, so order your natural size at the most.

Would definitely recommend this vest.

I've never owned a suit that wasn't black, or a black pinstripe; the Humboldt stripe vest (and matching trousers) makes for an excellent change, and one that stands out and gets you noticed. The fit is generous, the colours compliment each other very well (and the buttons match the stripe perfectly), and the texture of the fabric makes the waistcoat suitable for casual wear, as well as part of something more formal, or as I do, for work, on a regular basis (I match the Humboldt vest and trousers with the Livingston black brushed cotton town coat, black boots and a white shirt and black tie combo as in the pictures above - trust me. It works). If you're thinking of buying it, believe me, it'll make a very fine addition to your wardrobe.

Sizes vary, I'm a large but had to do medium. Love the vest.

This one was a bit more like a blue jean vest than I expected but it works well on more casual work days with khaki's as the stripes blend in to match.

I purchased this vest to go to a party and it was a instant favorite. Everyone loved it. The material is strong without being too heavy. The look is classic and authentic. Real pockets for accessories is a huge plus for me.

I purchased this vest so I can more frequently wear my grandfathers Hamilton pocket watch and the vest is excellent. Great construction and plenty of pockets for my watch (Hamilton 974 sidewinder from 1908) as well as glasses, pens notepad etc. I like this vest because it wears great with jeans and is durable for frequent wear. The lapels give it a nice style and I am very pleased with this purchase!

Nice solid fabric that will hold up over time. Fabric matches the Humboldlt Stripe Pants without any color or pattern deviance. Sizing matches per the chart posted on item page.

The Victorian Gentleman's armor has got to be symbolized by the vest. The Humboldt Stripe Vest makes you look like sophisticated perfection when matched to the Humboldt trousers. It looks great with black or brown trousers too. The material and craftsmanship match the superb standards of a Emporium merchandise. This is arguably the favourite look among my several Victorian outfits.

Better material and construction than I expected and that is always good!

The blue is darker in person, so underestimate the description when it says "navy blue". The fabric also shines green under yellow light. The pockets on mine weren't sewn shut, which was a great surprise (I hate unpicking). Fantastic vest though, looks great on camera and under regular light.
