Tom The high price caught me off guard at first, but once I actually received the hat and got to take a look at it, I realized that its price is justified.
Handmade and feels as authentic as can be for a panama hat, I was most pleased that a hat, for once, wasn't too small or constrictive for my otherwise large head. As a matter of fact, the hat is just barely slightly large, which I'm 100% okay with after a lifetime of small hats. It works well not just as an authentic period piece, it can also work as other costumes such as a CIA agent in Cuba if you so choose (as a humorous example).
In short, a high-quality, handmade hat that can accommodate large heads (as long as you order the correct size).

DocMartin1979 I wore this boater to a 1920s - inspired charity event the Speakeasy. It was an instant hit in the photo booth that was on site to capture the feel of the partygoers at the Juice Joint. What is even more fantastic is this vintage lid will be worn this spring/summer as i hope to host several garden parties at my home. I am exquisitely happy with this product and I cannot wait to shop again at the emporium.
