Was as pictured of good quality and not like a costume

The second appearance of Sherlock Holmes was in a slim volume entitled "The Sign of Four". This adventure began with a pretty, blonde governess receiving a pearl from the the Agra treasure. In the end, Scotland Yard gets credit for solving the casse and Watson wins the hand of the fair maid. I would like to think she would present Watson and Holmes with pearl stick pins like the above item to mark her wedding day.

This arrived broken and was unusable, otherwise the remainder of my order was great.

It is exactly what it says. A small pearly tack that tacks your tie. Works well. Simple. Understated. Not flashy or eye catching. Worth more than the money.

This is a fine looking tie tack and though it's small, it is essential as a finishing touch.

I purchased this along with a vest for the my husband's birthday - it's just right for pinning down an ascot and looks very tasteful against a black ascot and black vest.

This tie tack is an attractive, yet inexpensive item, so no need for a big write up. I gave it three stars just on price and looks. I took off two for breakage.

The "pearl" fell off of the stem the first time I pulled the tie tack away from it's backing clip. I just glued it back on with epoxy, so it should be good for another 100,000 miles. I'm sure the Emporium would have sent a new one... their customer service is great, but this matter wasn't worth the fuss. Please don't confuse the review of the item with the seller, they take care of their clients.

Check yours when you get it, to make sure it's not loose.

A very simple tie tack that I bought to go with the Silk Puff Tie (000622). Works very well, and for less than $4, a great price. Looks like I may have got one of the last ones, though, as the site now says that they are sold out.If they get more, I would recommend this item to anyone looking to put an elegant finishing touch to their look!

i always like to secure any ties i wear with a tie tack and this particular product will fullfill the task,nice design,good pin length,and for me a definate wear on perhaps more formal occasions.

Very nice little tie tack, nice quality and something that you don't see just anywhere. Well worth it for the look it gives with the ascot.

The post that connects the pearl to the base is a bit under 1/2 inch, longer than seems necessary. I recommend buying an additional tack for every tie you purchase and leaving it in place once inserted, as it leaves a visible hole which would draw attention on a solid-toned ascot or cravat with no pattern. This tack is useful for getting people to notice details about your appearance.

This is essential for keeping your ascot or puff tie in place. I actually run my pin through my shirt to keep my ascot exactly where I want it (I tie mine rather differently than the method shown in the demo here, and it needs something to keep the two ends together and in the right place). The white pearl is particularly striking againt black silk.

It's just a tie tack but they're hard to find anymore. It came quick, in great condition, and was reasonably priced. I don't know if it's a real pearl but it will fool the casual observer. The shipping box was huge though, big enough to park my RV inside.

Pearl tie tack is simple but the perfect accent to a well dressed man.
