Really nice looking vest

My husband liked the vest. But I panicked when I opened the box finding the wrong size on the tag. Upon closer look, the vest itself had the correct size. I had to ruin the surprise by telling him so he could try it on. It fit so it looked like someone put the wrong tag on the vest. I was glad it fit but it would have been nice for him to open his Christmas gift and be surprised.

The vest fit perfectly, and the intricacies of the pattern and the color of the vest are far more than I expected.

This vest was purchased to add to my red and black Drake Vests. I now have Red, White, Blue, and Black vests to select the best for any occasion.

I wear vests or waistcoats every day. My purchases fit my style and I am complimented often on my dress.

Very pretty vest, but I though the buttons were both inexpensive feeling and poorly sewed on. One popped off when I wore the vest for the first time.

The material and fit of this vest was excellent for the Victorian look I was after, essentially emulating Darcy of you know where....:} The ladies loved it at the Victorian ball, and even two gents commented on how 'proper' it looked.

What makes this vest special is the subtle blue paisley pattern, not overstated. I did order this vest one size larger to compensate for the bulkier shirt I was wearing. No issues.....good value...

This is a very handsome vest. It is well made and the material is beautiful. I bought this for my wedding and am so happy with it. I can highly recommend the style and fit of this vest - exactly as described online. The sizing chart was perfect.

My husband has an "executive build", rounder in the middle, and this vest fit him without alterations to the upper chest. Some we have purchased for him at other locations have need taking up at the shoulders in order to be large enough in the girth and fitted at the top.

Love the color, pattern, and quality of the material; just wish the pockets were real pockets into which a watch could fit!
Editor's Note: The pockets are sewn shut, but can be opened to use for a pocket watch.

I ordered this vest for my sons wedding. It is gorgeous. Fits very well. My husband loved it too. The color is awesome.

I am very pleased with this vest! It's a great additional to anyone's wardrobe! Everyone is right to say the pics does not do this vest justice! It has a nice rich blue undertone that does not make this vest to flamboyant. My only complaint is that you the pockets are sewn shut, but that's most of their vests and all you need is the right tool or visit your local tailor to rectify! Overall, another awesome purchase from historical emporium!

Just reiterating some of the points of others here. The vest's material and workmenship are great. The colors are muted and not flashy but the designs beautiful.

The fit is a little different then other vests ive bought on this site, a little wider in the lower back, but nothing severe. I found i could adjust it down to fit me pretty well. (Im a large, i know the reviewer before me had different problems in a small)

Finally be aware the pockets here are mostly for show. You can fit about a thumb in and thats it. I was expecting deeper pockets, but not a huge deal.

Overall A good vest and one i plan on wearing alot!

The River Trail Vest looks and feels quite nice. It has a durable build and the price is great.

The downsides, it is sized a little larger then most other vests, especially in the waist, so even ordering a small, it was a little too large on me. I had to adjust it myself to get the fit I really wanted. The material, while quite elegant, also feels like it would be easier to mess up or damage then other waistcoats I've ordered. Definitely a great vest for fancy occasions but perhaps not so good for every day wear.

Still, a good vest and I'm quite happy with the purchase. Maybe just a slight size adjustment or making the back-strap have a great range of adjustment.

I was totally pleased with the River Trail Vest. The photo doesn't do justice to the front fabric, which is a deep and elegant indigo with a subtle black pattern: most suitable for a dignified gent! The buttons give just the right touch of understated sparkle. With the Callahan Frock Coat and the Silk Puff Tie: perfect!

The Blue River Trail Vest has quickly become my favorite. It looks absolutely great. The color is not too flamboyant. It is just right. Workmanship is first class. Sell this is several different colors and I just might buy them all.

I purchased a large in another style, and then exchanged it for this vest in a medium. It has good quality fabric all around.

I like this vest and it looks great with my outfit. However, I was very disappointed to find that the watch I bought with the outfit would not go into the vest pocket because the pockets are dummies. I would think for the money there should be a real pocket on this vest.
