My vest was the wrong size, because I was careless in my ordering. I was given some great information on how to return and exchange the vest for one that will be the proper size. I have not had one complaint for Historical Emporium and will continue to be a loyal customer!

This waistcoat always receives compliments when I wear it - it looks very fine indeed and fits well; and the tone-on-tone texture is another standout of its appearance. A very fine summer-weight dress waistcoat I think looks equally good paired with either a black or a burgundy coat.

I wanted my husband to have some colour with his tux so I ordered this vest for him. Even with the tux fully done up you could see the vest and it coordinated well with our daughter's champaigne coloured wedding dress. He wore it with a black silk tie and received many compliments. It fit well and was well made.

... I coupled it with vintage smoking jacket (green velvet)... & a chrome pocket watch and chain draped over the middle... Classy.

My son made his bride-to-be promise not to order any vests for their formal outdoor wedding. He and his best man were wearing dark brown pants, a tux shirt with cuff-link custom made and yellow paisley ties. The bride was in an ivory gown handmade by her bride-maid younger sister. It was painted with yellow and orange on the inside and her hair was dyed blond with orange streaks, which were beautifully arranged in a simple style. Fortunately, I had gone and ordered two vests for my boys in ivory and they pulled the entire wedding party together.

We ordered the Spencer vest per our daughter's request for my husband to wear at her wedding and we are very pleased with the purchase. We ordered the size according to the size chart and it was spot on. The quality was even nicer than expected. The vest arrived promptly and well-packaged. We would order again, for sure!

I liked the design, but the fabric was lighter and of less quality than anticipated.

I bought this for my wedding. The vest looks exactly like the picture. Slightly warmer tones under yellow indoor lighting, whiter tones outdoors, but no variation to be concerned about. A beautiful cream colored vest with a snappy sheen, with offsetting paisley(-ish?) pattern, also sheen. Size-wise, I'm a 6' guy with somewhat of a barrel chest (maybe a little extra too), and a large fit me fine, although a little short.

As a side note, this store is awesome. I live relatively close and went down to the actual warehouse to return my initial order of a medium for a large to avoid shipping hassles. The staff was completely friendly and helpful - they even let me try on some other items I was considering! One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.

My son wanted a vest (in his words" a waistcoat")to wear under his linen jacket at his June wedding. We were unable to find anything he liked in our area. I googled vest/waistcoat and your site came up. After reading the description of the vest, I ordered it with only two weeks till the wedding. The vest looked and fitted as if it was tailored-made! He looked so handsome and fashionable! Rhett Butler never looked as good as my son did on his wedding day!

Excellent quality! Better looking in person and nice detail from the gold brocade! Love it! I've learned to purchase one size bigger on vests for comfort since vests are traditionally very form fitting. Adjustment strap in the back makes it easy to fit for your needs.
