Straw Derby

I just needed a new hat. Liked this one so much I'll be ordering another (different style) as soon as I make up my mind between the boater and the straw top hat.

I wear derby hats all of the time. I've been looking for a quality straw derby for a long time, as it gets very hot in Alabama. This hat looks like a proper derby. There is one small thing wrong with the hat, it doesn't have a proper hat band. It should have a band with a bow, like the original hats. Other then that, a quality proper hat.

I created a felt Derby out of an old Indiana Jones fedora and liked it so much, I decided I wanted a straw one for summer. Love it, and was pleased to discover it was a Sunbody hat.

Great hat. I get lots of compliments

I had an outdoor steampunk event to attend right at the hottest days of the year (so far) here in Seattle. It was reaching the three digit mark when we are used to the high 70s being hot.
I didn't want to wear my regular bowler as it would roast my brain. This straw derby worked perfectly with my summer outfit.
