Victorian Button Hook - Silver

I actually bought this to make it easier to do the buttons on my wedding dress and it works perfectly! Would absolutely recommend to any other brides with buttons down the back of the dress. Your bridesmaids will thank you!!

button hook is wonderful. Will be ordering another one to carry when I wear the shoes. The shoes are amazing. Fit perfect and heel is just right. Put them on and my hip stop hurting. It has hurt since my knee surgery. Must be that heel. Will be ordering another pair because these will be everyday wear. That comfortable.

At first, I wasn't down with the idea of having to use a button hook on a pair of shoes I ordered from AD. But after a couple of uses, I got the hang of it and I actually am enjoying doing it. The object itself is really rather beautiful on its own. Overall, what a unique experience it is to buy shoes from this company!

It's pretty and looks nice on my dresser top. It works great on my shoes and sure saves my fingers. I'm eager to try it with my Victorian blouse sleeves.

The button hook feels heavy duty and well made, and it comes in a nice velvet pouch. I'm still getting the hang of using it, but will keep practicing!

I reenact a schoolmarm in a one room schoolhouse in my home town every Spring for hundreds of students. When I button my shoes I begin to get into character. A deliberate precision is needed. This is no simple task. And the reading, writing and cyphering for young scholars is layered in foundational steps. Like buttons on my American Duchess shoes.

Putting my boots on went from a struggle to a much easier task. Still has a learning curve but I should have gotten these with my original order.

This tool is beautiful and it is essential however, the handle broke off on my first pass and I was able to still use to button the boots, wish it was one solid piece, not a glued on handle. Otherwise it's good.

More utilitarian things in my life should be this pretty. I have wanted to use a button hook since I was a little girl, and this one did not disappoint!

I purchased the Tavistock boots and I needed to get this. I think that for what the boots cost, the button hook should have been included at no additional charge. You can't wear the boots without it. I absolutely love the boots but when you use the hook, you need to be mindful about not ripping the buttons off. It take a bit of practice to get it down.

No more blisters on my fingers.

This does exactly as advertised, and as someone with no experience prior I would say I was able to button up my boots pretty darn fast. (Though as a seamstress I do have pretty nimble hands so that may be part of it as well.)

It's actually very fun to use and it makes me feel QUITE fancy with the cute designs in the handle.

The only reason it gets a 4/5 is I noticed that it is quite easy to bend the long part (the shaft?? The rod? The part after the handle and before the hook) as you're maneuvering it to get the buttons into the holes, but it is equally easy to bend back into place. Maybe I was manhandling it a little?

Either way I look forward to putting my boots on because of how fun it is to use, and I'm definitely going to be purchasing more shoes that require its use just so I can use it more in the future haha. Very charming!
