Mining heir Preston Tyler II, can thank his perfectly polished station in life to his paternal grandfather, discoverer of the famous Tyler Silver Lode in the mountains of Nevada. This find of fortune was a fluke for the elder Tyler who kept venturing upstream to find clear water for the horses to no avail. It turns out the heavy blue-black sediment that was sullying the bucket was almost pure sulphuret of silver!
As Preston grew into a young man, he was well known for his fancy clothes and expensive diversions. Many erroneously assumed that the Tyler fortune had tarnished his moral compass and left him ungrounded in reality. However, underneath this superficial facade of silks, brocades and dandy walking canes in an avid philanthropist who was not at all bothered when pan handled. He has recently begun purchasing old row houses in the city to be renovated and leased to the less fortunate at a discounted rate.
