Callahan Dress Trousers - Steel Gray

The size was completely off. I asked for a size 44, and these are a 38 at best. And the length is ridiculous.

Requires tailoring, but after that they are awesome. they look great with Callahan black Frockcoat and Planter hat. Doc Holliday would have been proud to wear these items

Trousers fit well , I have yet to have the legs hemmed to length . Very happy with the purchase

I ended up returning these because I got a size too big, and since I got the Livingston brushed trousers, I decided I didn't need a second black pair. These feel very nice, light, and comfortable, and I'll probably come back to get these again in the proper size because the brushed cotton trousers are so heavy.

I have a string band and our attire is Victorion period outfits. I also wear the pants to church with a vest. With a modern necktie no one knows that the trousers are period except for the adjustments on the backside.

Too tight @ 32, I'm 30/31. Returned.

Fabric is a bit light which maybe affects the lay of the trousers slightly. Other than that, they fit great and seem to be well constructed. Beware that you must measure your "waist" around the belly button for a proper fit.

These pants are precisely what I was looking for. Solid, fit well, good fabric and color (note that pant sizes do not directly correlate to waist measurements). Not difficult to hem, either.

Fit very well and quite sturdy! They look great. They have a very Victorian/turn-of-the-century look to them. Look great with a frock coat and top-hat!

Love these trousers! They fit better than any pair of trousers I’ve ever owned. Great feel and weight & seem very durable. Using the sizing chart proved to be the difference. I’m a 32 in the waste, and per the sizing chart, I ordered a 34 as they are high-rise trousers. Perfect! The length must be tailored to fit your height .. they come 36” length. My tailor charged me $12 to fit them .. like stealing! Again, the best fit of any trousers I’ve ever owned. By the way, after placing my order, they arrived so fast that I had to duck! No Pony Express with these guys. I’ll be doing more shopping with Historical Emporium.

Very nice pants, love the fit and look. I originally ordered my usual pants size and they were too small (website does say to measure just below your belly button, generally a size or two bigger than your normal, my mistake). I returned for a larger size, quick, easy, no hassle exchange. Received replacement within 2 days, they fit great! Will be ordering more items soon.

Pant was cut way to tight in the legs and seat. You were out of 36 waist which is what I wear, so I ordered 38 waist. Waist was way to big but thigh and seat was way to small

Just need to shorten the trousers a couple of inches, other than that just great.

High quality material and stitching. Fits true to size, so you don't have to order a size larger or smaller to get a good fit.

The pants are good quality, well finished, with some nice features. The fit was just right. Watch pocket, and the pocket details were definite nice touches.

Absolutely pleased with these trousers. I had to hem and taper mine as I am quite thin and found the length a bit too long. Other than those small issues, I love them. Great material. In regard to customer service, I have nothing but good things to say. Very fast shipping and hassle free return.

I bought these for my costume this year and wanted something authentic. I found this and ordered it. Came in two days later and I tried it on but, the legs were pretty long. I'm 5"7 so I'm not that tall, for what it's worth the material and quality is top notch so I would definitely buy from them again. Just keep in mind that the legs will be long if you are on the short side so have someone tailor it or find a local tailor to make the adjustments.

Excellent style and fit. Did need to add spandex gussets as we were using them for a dance piece. Pants all held up well and looked as good after being worn for a week as they did when we first fit them.

Well made trousers, good quality fabric, but the size we ordered was too big. We returned & re-ordered a smaller size.

I'm not happy with the product. At all! Just not what I had in mind. The fit is terrible, the material is substandard and the overall product is dreadful. The fact the organization sent me an invitation to review the product is a reminder to return the trousers for a refund.

I get lots of complements when I wear the high waisted trousers I get from Historical Emporium. I have several different pairs. The Callahan dress trousers are particularly sharp when paired with the vest. Does require hemming due to length, but that is very affordable at a local tailor. The retro style allows me to be comfortable in just short and pants, but not too casual. Perfect.

Great quality and historical accuracy made for a splendid suit.
