They are really baggy—only complaint. After some wear, I can leave a more detailed review. Bottom line: it is very difficult to find pants of this sort anywhere but especially in the US, and these are well-made for the (very reasonable) price.

I've worn Scully/Wahmaker western pants to do shows for decades. I haven't found the sand color for a couple of years and needed to replace my old ones. I decided to give the Historical Emporium brand a try.
Although the cut seems the same, the fabric is significantly lighter, more akin to Dockers slacks. The fit is loose by comparison, and they don't hold their shape as well as the others.
I've washed them to see if they'd shrink (they didn't) so can't return them. They'll do in a pinch, but I prefer the major brand.

It was for a costume party and I went as a safari big game hunter!

I am a part time actor and needed an outfit from the 1800s for a historical reenactment. The service was impeccable and the end result was perfect. Thank you Empirical Emporium !!

the pants surprised me by being very light weight.. apparently i didn't fully read .. or they weren't described as such.... they do run smaller and rereading you need to measure your mid belly to get the right fit .. you cannot go by waist size and it does in fact say that in measuring for them SO pay attention..

I can't express just how pleased I am with all your products. I've tried looking at others, and nothing i've found has compared.

I absolutely have fallen in love with these Khaki trousers. I have integrated them into my daily wardrobe, and for my body type (medium/large - "Husky" build), suspenders and trousers like these are a perfect fit.
I've paired these trousers with a brown leather shoes, a light brown tweed vest, and a light blue collared shirt that has a cream and white check pattern in it for a timeless, dapper look. I would love to immediately buy 3-4 more pairs of these and add them to my wardrobe, however my size (40) is out of stock, with no replenishment date set by the manufacturer at this time. You better believe I'll be checking back for these on a regular basis so that I can buy some. In the meantime, I'm considering going to a local tailor and having a couple of pairs of Chinos made that feature the high waist, and the suspender buttons that are featured in these trousers. These are absolutely fantastic.

I am always impressed by the quality of Historical Emporium's clothing. These trousers and are a nice weight, but not too heavy to be hot in warm temps. They fit as expected from the other pants from HE. I received many compliments on my outfit (bought the matching jacket as well) at our Mardi Gras ball. I am anxious to wear it Mardi Gras day! Nice pants but they run small!

In 2016 I weighed 468 pounds, had a 60 inch waist and a 64" chest. I went on a diet and lost 200 pounds. I put on my old pants and they fell to the ground. I followed the instructions and ordered thees wunnerful pants one size greater than what I now wear. The 46 waist is very nice. I must shorten the legs inseam to 31". The pocket placement is perfect for me. Vertical on the front and deeeeep!

No complaints, only a suggestion- inseam hemming service would be icing on the cake.

Sidenote for any other cosplayers going as Malcom Reynolds....It does not have Mal's signature stripe down the pant legs, so you will have to sew it on yourselves. This is not a complaint, but something to take note of.

Well made trousers, good quality fabric, but the size we ordered was too big. We returned & re-ordered a smaller size.

These pants are perfect khakis for a gentleman like myself. The pants have a classic rise that comes to the navel and a fish back. The pockets are lined in the khaki canvas. If you are a slimmer gentleman like myself you will want to order in the same size (or even a size smaller) than your typical pants as these sit at the stomach and not at the hips like modern fashion pants.

Fit great, and look even better!
