Bought this shirt for a child's pioneer themed birthday party. I was very satisfied with the quality of the shirt. The fabric and metal buttons give it an authentic feel.
Shirt is to size so buy it in whatever shirt size you wear.

This shirt is of excellent quality and is exactly as advertised. Love it and will wear it during my cowboy shoots.

Looks & fits great

The tag on this pull-over shirt calls it a Shiloh. sounds so historical! Heavier-than-usual cotton weave feels comfortable with a tee-shirt or tank top under it. This shirt can take a beating in any reenacting situation. Classic 19th century design fits right in with CAS situations. Add a western tie and vest for those times when a cowboy wants to spruce up a might. I wear a lamb skin leather waistcoat with it. Not so much historical 19th century western as common in the old western TV shows from the 50's & 60's. This shirt can also be seen in those old western shows and movies. It's a tough, yet good looking design that belongs in your cowboy wardrobe.

Authentic looking period shirt!!

I bought this shirt in natural and tan stripe, and the look of both is superb. I actually preferred this striped one in appearance. However, the fabric was different from the natural. I found it too course, as i have sensitive skin. So, I sent in back, no big deal. But I think a washing and a wearer who prefers a tougher fabric will love this. The natural, on the other hand... that was a keeper.

I really like the shirt. My only complaint is that it is not permanent press. It is otherwise very attractive and well made.

I bought this intending to use it as part of my intrepid explorer steampunk costume, but it's so comfortable and such a great fit I've worn it to work several times. Moral: don't limit your thinking. I suspect many Emporium products can be worn on 'non-costume' occasions.

excellent quality and perfect fit

Ordered this shirt. Wore it to a function with a vest and bow tie. I seriously can't see why I would ever wear another shirt. It is comfortable, stylish, and of a quality I seriously never expected. After I wore it I actually sat down and inspected it.....every stich, button and seam. I just couldn't believe I finally found THE shirt, but alas, it was true. I found it. FANTASTIC quality. I will be ordering many more and donating most of what I own (shirtwise). If you are even THINKING of ordering, trust me...just do it. You will thank me later. As for Bowties, the "kicked back" collar melds with them perfectly. Thank you so much for my shirt. Please think about doing an Olive stripe....(favorite color). Kevin

Great shirt. Comfortable, well made, very nice shirt.

I bought this shirt to wear on casual-Fridays at the office, not just to wear as part of a costume. I've wore it last Friday with the brown four-pocket canvas vest and a pair of dark-loden chinos and got lots of compliments. Its comfortable and appears well-made. It responded well to ironing and some light spray-starch with not a single puckered seams to be found. A great shirt!

When I opened the package, I could not believe how great this shirt looked. The picture does NOT do it justice at all. It is just gorgeous. It can be dressed up with his brown cords and vest (also bought here) or just looks great as casual with the canvas. Very good quality, perfect fit. My husband has to have 35/36 inch sleeves and we have never bought a shirt that did not fit great in the sleeve length! Love love love my Western Emporium!
