Deluxe Derby - Brown

Gave this hat to my husband for his birthday. He loves it and always gets compliments when he wears it around town. He also has had the tall brown version of it for the past several years and it has held up beautifully. He wears a hat to work every single day, so they get a lot of use.

I should have anticipated that the hat would be quite stiff and structured, so if you're on the border for sizes, I recommend sizing up. Well made and looks fantastic.

During this past summer, I was fortunate enough to work as an actor on season 2 of the hit Taylor Sheridan TV show 1923. Wardrobe had put me a period 3-piece wool suit and topped it off with a brown Derby/ Bowler hat. My wife saw the wardrobe picture and commented on how good it looked on me, then for my recent birthday, bought this Derby for me. I bought this derby hat as part of my 1880's costume. This is one of the few hats that actually fit me and it looks great!

I needed a derby hat to match my charcoal grey suit for funeral attire. Most other hats out there are black or cheaply made costume pieces. This hat is the genuine thing and very well made

I wore my hat to the silent film festival it will be a lot of fun they dident have the hat in medeum it would hav fit better but still fun

to most hat styles I've worn. I ordered a large and it's too small.This is not perhaps the company's fault, but it is a problem. I will be sending it back for either a refund or exchange. However, I do love the products available on the website; but am realizing that for my noggin it is probably wiser to get my hats custom-made.

Nice quality product at a fair price - and it arrived quickly.

The derby is very nice and is well made, I really do like it. The problem for me was I thought I could wear the M size but I had to insert size-reducing foam all the way around behind the sweatband to make it fit a 6 7/8 size head.

I like the quality of the hat. It is quite stiff which I think is appropriate. The XL fits my large head very well!

Top Quality/Easy to Exchange

I have a lot of hats, mostly Stetson cowboy hats. But I couldn't see paying $248 (typical) for a Stetson Bowler/Derby. So I looked for a medium quality Bowler. I tried a few others that ranged from theater quality (don't be seen up close in it) to reasonable quality hats. One was decent but was mailed in a shipping bag and was crushed. Go figure huh? Send a hat in a bag for the less than careful shipping companies to modify for your customer on the way to the customer.

With the background out of the way these folks sent me one of these hats in a box. A shipping box not a hat box, but for this money so what. It came in good condition and very quickly. The fit and finish of this hat was at least comparable to a $150 quality hat and for for much less.

I like the hat. It fits right and looks great. I would buy it again without a doubt.

Made a quick purchase for a brown bowler hat. Great fit and sturdy make. Turned out exceptionally well; top notch quality and cut. Perfectly formed rim and dome. Packaging was simple, no extra fluff. Arrived intact and no dings. It's been added to the collection and has taken the place of my fave haberdashery. Shipping turnaround was surprisingly swift. This is much better quality felt than the former "deluxe" model derby (although, to it's credit, after several years of daily use, I have consigned the earlier model to "motorcycle duty" due to wear, yet it is still holding up well even to 65mph!) The new Scala model has become my daily "town" wear hat. I have 4 "Deluxe" derbies, 2 Scala, 2 Capas, in 3 different colors, I wear them all, none feel, or look "costume-ey" As these wear, I will come back for more.

Very nice bowler, better than I expected, and worth twice the price! I am very pleased that I bought two...black and brown!
