Our Dixon Trousers are a sartorial staple guaranteed to upgrade your wardrobe and style. These pants are both comfortable and stylish, making them an easy choice for any event.

Constructed of a durable cotton blend, these trousers feature a high-waisted Victorian cut, three front pockets and one rear pocket, an adjustable back, button fly, and riveted suspender buttons. We’ve even added an extra inch through the calf and thigh for easier movement in work or play.

Imported. 80% cotton, 15% polyester, 5% rayon. Machine wash cold. Hemmed with a 36-inch inseam and offered in waist sizes 30–52.

Sizing Notes

As you can see from the photos, these old fashioned trousers sit higher on the body than modern pants do.

For best fit, measure your torso (in inches) just below your belly button, and select this size of trousers.

In many cases, this will be one or more size above your customary pants size.
Wide Leg

These trousers have a 1 inch wider thigh and calf than our other trousers which will provide a roomier fit.
Inseam

Our trousers come with a 36 inch inseam. If you need them shorter, you will need to have them tailored locally to your desired fit.

I first discovered Historical Emporium a few years ago when I wanted a special look for my daughter's wedding. This latest purchase is just for an old time look with no special occasion in mind. Bought them 2" bigger than my usual size, as per suggestion, and the fit is perfect. Tailor charged $20 to hem them, so glad I got them on sale!!! Extremely comfortable, cool looking pants!! I'm a repeat customer and selection, prices, and service are always the best!!

Dressing the Part

We are members of MAFCA, the Model A Ford Club of America. We drive a 1928 Roadster and like to period dress for events and occasions. These trousers, knickers, shirts etc. from Historical Emporium fit the bill. Even though they are earlier vintage, for working guys, they are still in style for the 20's, 20's and even 40's. The fit is good and the quality high. Love the stuff! We are hosting the MAFCA 2024 National Convention at Ruidoso, NM in June and are rigging up for the festivities with new duds.

Like the trousers

These period clothes will be part of my everyday public wear. I don't care for contemporary fashion at all. Everyone looks the same. As far as the trousers, they're still in alteration for a shorter inseam adjustment so I have yet to wear them.
