My order was filled immediately and delivered in a very short time. The pants are well made. The fit is perfect. The material is lighter and less course than I had expected, which was a pleasant surprise. As a long-legged fellow, being required to take up a substantial hem was a rare privilege. The pants blend well with my existing attire to create the balanced impression for which I strive.

The fit was a little tight and the strap on the back of the pants came undone when I bent over. I took the pants to a tailor and they fixed them right up but now I'm very happy. I probably could've done a better job with the sizing but I need a 33 not the available sizes of 32 (ordered). and 34. I think that some better quality assurance would've gone the fact that the strap in the back was really not securely sewn in the first place [on one side]. Overall, I'm happy and I will be using these when I play in my band.

I am very impressed by the construction of these trousers. Very well made. They are exactly what I had hoped they would be. For some reason, they were a little too large (I measured my waist carefully) but I had them altered and they fit like a glove, so comfortable I don't want to take them off.

My husband bought these for cowboy action shooting. They needed to be hemmed (as always) but they fit really well and he said they are comfortable to wear all day moving around. These have a skinnier fit than other styles.

The trousers are well made, the stitching is excellent. The advertised size 42 was a true 42. The crotch area is very comfortable. The fabric is smooth, substantial but not heavy or stiff.

These are great trousers. I’ve had positive experiences in the past and I’m sure I’ll have many more in the future.

Outstanding quality and perfect fit (definitely order 1 size larger). Will be buying another pair or two in other colors. Shipping was very fast, received in less than a week. This is the second time I have ordered the Ferndale Striped Trousers due to their great look and reliable quality. While they are true to size as described on the website, it should be noted that because they are cotton, they do stretch once worn and heated up by the body - similar to how jeans will stretch out once worn several times. I highly recommend these durable trousers.

Do as other reviewers have suggested, and step up your pant size, just as I did. And don't forget to order your suspenders because if you think you can find button suspenders in your town as I thought I could, you will be coming back for a second order and paying additional shipping charges.

These are probably the best pair of pants I've ever owned, I wore a pair for over a year or so before the constant use and abuse wore them out. I was devastated when I could no longer wear them and the Emporium didn't have my size at the time, luckily they finally came back in stock recently and I couldn't be happier! They're comfortable, sit nice and high, and have plenty of room in the pockets. I love the stripes and how they look once properly hemmed, I definitely recommend 'em

Wow! These are great! Wore them w/ my Vigilante coat to Church & received lots of compliments. I'm one of those jack of all trades kinda guys. I can weld as well as stitch a seam so I hemmed them with a 1" rolled up cuff for snazzy-ness sakes. Also, ordered a size up like they said to do & what a perfect fit! Now I'm ditching jeans as work pants & ordering the canvas version of these. They're that comfortable & well made :)

I ordered these and within days it was at my doorstep. The pants fit around my boots perfectly with no bagginess and though the pants are longer in length, they never ride low on my boots or go below the heel., very comfortable and the stripes are well defined. Definitely happy with the purchase

These period trousers worked perfectly for the theater costume I wanted to create. The advice of ordering one size bigger than your normal pant size was most helpful and assured that the fit was ideal. I normally wear a 36 waist (35 really) but to be cautious I ordered the Ferndale pants in a size 38. The higher-riding waistline fit me perfectly and once my wife hemmed them, and suspenders were attached, I was totally satisfied with the look and authenticity. The website stated that size 38 was "special order" and could take 10 to 14 days to arrive. Imagine my surprise when they came in 4 days. Great service and great product.

I'm a little surprised I didn't buy these earlier. They're very nice on all counts. The pattern and color look sharp; bolder and more eye-catching than solids, but not so much that they're garish. The material is lightweight and comfortable. And they just look dang good. Frankly, I'm starting to think the matching vest is calling my name to go with these pants. In short: These are a good pick!

Fit is snug, sizing up is a good idea.

I followed the instructions for sizing and ran into a contradiction. Measuring for waist size with a tape I came up with 36" for these and even measuring for regular pants I came up with 34". I've worn 32's for years. So do I go with the tape measure or the 2" bigger than normal pants size? I chose the latter and lucked out. The pants are nicely made and pure retro.

I scoured the internet searching for these period trousers to go with a custom cowboy bounty hunter outfit. The sizing instructions are a bit confusing and seem to give different ways to get your measurement. I measured my waist as the instructions stated and came up with 40" and my normal pant size is 34. It also states that most people need to go up one more size than their normal pant size. This is what I did. I wear 34 so I ordered a 36 and the fit was perfect. The trousers are well made and I'm very satisfied.

Really well made , like the high waist keeps my shirts tucked in no matter what I`m doing Also like the brace buttons I don`t have to wear a belt & don`t worry about droopy pants . Fits well either over my boots or tucked in depending on boot style . I`m on the tall side & the fit is great . Got 0ne size larger like you said fit was good, they wear well when riding or walking . Probaly buy a few more different pairs .
