Gibson Edwardian Leather Shoes - Soft Ivory

I finally ordered the navy shoes.
I absolutely love them. They are so comfortable.

I had people notice the shoes from across the entryway. I wear a size 12, so that’s what I ordered and they fit pretty true to size. They are made of the actual letter so they did stretch just a teeny bit, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I’m looking to buy a pair in every color now. I simply love them.

I purchased these to wear to a wedding in the fall and I can't wait to see the whole outfit come together! They are lovely

I had emailed the AD team several months prior to my purchase that I was planning to wear these for my wedding, and asked when they would be back in stock (as they had been out of stock for a while at this time). They quickly and friendly responded with the information that I needed -- they were revamping the material and would be out of stock until probably summer. Then, a few months later, I got an emails that they had *just* restocked. I immediately purchased my dream wedding shoe. I was amazed that they remember to email me when they came back. The shoes are beautiful and breaking in nicely. I cannot wait to incorporate them into my wedding outfit.

I first got these shoes in black, but I’ve been tried to incorporate more color into my wardrobe and the first pair fit well and went with everything so I got another pair in dark blue.

As I expected, good quality. Walkable. Wearable for everyday. I’m using these shoes for office wear.

I’ve had the Gibson shoes for years, and they are so comfortable I can wear them all day without irritation to my wide feet. As they say,”If the shoe fits, buy it in every color”. I have four colors and am serious considering another one or two. They go with everything from jeans to dresses.

This is a lovely shoe. It can go with so many things. I don't dress vintage so I just wear these with my regular clothes and they look great. I can't wear a heel that is over 2 inches high so these fit the bill. I love the Louie heel for style and stability.

First the shoes were very well made and beautiful. At the time I ordered them, There was no 5 or 5.5 size available. I ordered a 6 since sometimes shoes will fit in that size. Unfortunately. they were a bit big and the other pair I ordered was perfect. Will reorder once items are back in stock in a different size,

My daughter introduced me to American Duchess and I was skeptical at first that shoes so pretty would actually fit. I have a wider toe box and have a horrible time fitting into shoes. Thankfully my daughter wears the same size and I tried her Paris boots before I ordered. I typically wear a 9 and ordered a 10 (not wide) and they fit perfectly. They were beautifully made and comfortable from the moment I put them on. The Gibsons were my first pair but I will definitely be getting some more!

Very happy with these shoes; the design is stunning and they are so comfortable. It has been a couple of years since I purchased from AD so sizes might've changed, but I did have to return these shoes for a half-size up from the previous size I'd been ordering to get the correct fit (and I checked the measurement chart as well). Still would recommend, but double-check the fit!

Oh god these are PERFECT. I have been eyeing these for years, and I finally got the funds to get them. They fit like a dream, feel like a dream... and theyre adorable! I can spin in these! Alike to all historical shoes, they are quite comfortable! Well, more than quite. I always always wear insoles, but I took my insoles out, and it isnt the least bit uncomfortable. I was kind of in awe.

I do primarily early 20th Century reenacting. My husband and I are both experienced community theatre actors and started reenacting with Steampunk about 15 years ago. Since we now live in a Historic District with many homes from late 1890s through 1920s, we frequently function as docents for house tours and local events requiring costumes from that time frame..I wanted an "everyday" shoe that would work for most of those time frames and I think that the Gibson Edwardian fits the bill. I wore them the first time this past weekend for a 19th Amendment Ratification (Women's Suffrage) Anniversary event and they were.very comfortable, even with a 2" heel. I am almost 70, and I have been very hard on my feet in my life as a former competitive figure skater and also a bedside RN. But with these lovely, soft leather shoes, I had no blisters or foot pain at all and that's saying a lot. These shoes are going to be very versatile and can be styled right up to Flapper outfits from the 1920s.. I have no complaints whatsoever about these shoes. I ordered my usual size 8.5, and they fit great despite my narrow heels, and they are expertly crafted and well worth the money. So glad I finally took the leap and bought these!

I love the Gibson shoe. It matches with my contemporary outfits as well as my 20’s clothing.

I bought these shoes for my 1930s era dresses. They are super comfortable even though I don’t wear heels very often. I did size up a half size, since sizes 8 and 8.5 straddle a 39 (Eur)and I have a high instep, the extra half size fit better.

They are so beautiful and only rub at the heels. Love that I can put whatever laces I want on them. So thrilled!!!
