Our Hanover Trousers are anything but lightweights in 19th-century style. These classic striped trousers kick it up all over town, from the barber shop to the soda fountain.

Made from unlined cotton, these trousers are cut in the high-waist Victorian style with a button fly, riveted suspender buttons, and a back buckle for adjustment. They feature two slim side-slant pockets in front and one pocket in the back.

Made from 100% cotton, unlined for comfort. Imported. Machine wash cold; line dry. All sizes are hemmed with a 36-inch inseam.

As you can see from the photos, these old fashioned trousers sit higher on the body than modern pants do.

For best fit, measure your torso (in inches) just below your belly button, and select this size of trousers.

In many cases, this will be one or more size above your customary pants size.

Our trousers come with a 36 inch inseam. If you need them shorter, you will need to have them tailored locally to your desired fit.

Sweet Fabric

Stripe color is darker and richer than show in photo, which makes for beautiful look. Twill texture is rich and engaging.

Hickory Stripe trousers

Excellent fit and quality. I volunteer on the Train Crew for the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, WA. These trousers are a welcome addition to my period clothing for portraying a railroad worker from the early 1900's.

Be wary of the fit

I've been buying pants from this company for a couple of years now, and what they lack is good sizing control. I have had to return/donate so many pairs of brand new pants because some 34s fit more like a 32 and some fit me like they're a 35. Being that this is the only company I've seen hat makes pants like this, I'd appreciate if their sizing was more reliable because they have a nice product. This particular pant gets a 5 star review because it fits perfectly but this company's pants overall are a 3 star in my opinion just because of the headaches they've caused me in the past and recently. Order with caution.

This is my 4th pair of historical emporium trousers and my favourite.
They are lighter in weight than the canvas trousers but still quite sturdy.
I wish they would offer wabash/stifel stripes.
