Buckle down! Our Black Powder Belt is the finishing touch to a host of historical ensembles ranging from swashbuckling buccaneer to 19th century military solider.

Untooled belt with top stitching measures 3-inches wide and is pieced together from two 1/8" thick leather sections, forming a full ¼" finished belt that will stand up to the rigors of daily use. A notched strap fastens through heavy-gauge silver-tone buckle for just the right fit. No ammo loops, but civil war powder pouches or other accessories may be added.

Handcrafted from genuine leather. Imported, this south-of-the-border original evokes the spirit of the 1800's Southwest. Available in hip sizes 34-52.

Powder Belt Sizing
sizing

Our powder belts are sized by "hip" size, not waist size.

Measure your hips about half-way between your waist and the widest part of your hip, as shown in the diagram.

If your measurement falls between sizes, round up to the nearest even number.

DO NOT just select your jeans size, or you will very likely end up with a belt that is too small.

Our belts are sized in inches, and each belt has a range of +/- two inches from the labeled size.

It is VERY important that you measure yourself for a good fit.

The belt came in rolled up tight. When unrolled it is very wrinkled and puckered. It will not release the wrinkles and looks very unattractive! I’m keeping it hoping the wrinkles will release but I’m not happy with this purchase.

Nice belt but OMG is small

Quality was very nice, but wow I should have read about other reviews stating they run small. I have a 30in waist and I can barely get the first notch buckled on this size 36 belt. Am ordering a 38 and will either modify this one or give to my son.

** Editor's note: We recommend taking a measurement exactly where you'd like to wear it and order that size. Since the belt is worn at the hip, generally, that will be larger than your waist measurement.

It was for no special occasion. But I needed a an appropriate belt To go with my Colt1860 revolver.

belt loop

Everything with the Powder Belt was excellent except the loop which allows the 3" belt slides through. It's a fraction too small.It may take a month or two to get it(belt loop) to streach .

Better than expected

Sizing and Cut

Sizing is off -- order several sizes larger, additionally the second leather loop which keeps the larger belt in place is simply often cut too small or to thin. I can be stretched to accommodate the insert, but I feared breaking the leather. I am returning mine.

POWDER BELT

I bought this along with a left handed holster. perfect match. the powder belt is HEAVY DUTY! it was definitely built to last. great leather,
it will even fit my spare cylinders for my 1858 black powder. can anybody say PALE RIDER. another awesome product by the great folks at Historical Emporium. this is not my first purchase, nor will it be my last.

Perfect belt!

I use black powder... do you have ANY idea how hard to is to find the perfect gun belt that doesn't have the damned bullet loops on it? VERY hard. Thus, my surprise to not only find one here, but, a gun belt that fits *MY* fat a$$! It fits so well, and is of such high quality, it's a bargain at twice the price! LOVE it. Fits great, and is so comfortable!
