Leather Spectator Spat Boots - Black/White

Great pair of shoes. Perfect for my late Victorian reenactment.

I normally wear a size 11 shoe, but when I received my original order in this size, my foot was moving all over in a too large shoe. The size 10 replacement (raising the cost with the addition shipping and return charges) was fine for size but is very stiff and the sole is not near as comfortable as other shoes I have ordered from the emporium, which I can wear all day with no pain.

This is a very attractive boot. Unfortunately, I have sent mine back for a refund. The width was just too narrow.

I feel dressed up just thinking about them. Plan on breaking them in. The pull on strap broke straight away. They offered full exchange including shipping but I declined as I had worn them a bit and it seemed a minor issue. More of an issue is how the top edge of the boot cuts in at my ankles. Perhaps it is my shape, but I think they will be fine after some wearing in.

These Boots got to me only the other morning & What a Grand delight they are they fitted perfectly if slightly tight .these boots will go with me to bloodlust ball for my Edwardian Dandy outfit then again when i go to the gangsters ball a great purchase indeed.

Package was received on time, However I was utterly disappointed with the quality and look of the shoes. The leather was already creased and it was constructed poorly and made from cheep materials. I will certainly be returning them. If you're looking for a decently maids that shoe, look elsewhere.

I saw these boots here on Historical Emporium and was astonished at once. Ordered them both in black/white and in brown. I love both pairs, the look is unbeaten. Once you manage your feet inside, you will find that the little struggle was perfectly worth it! Will order these again if they ever wear off. The sole is high quality.

These spat shoes are every bit as gorgeous as the photo. They get gasps and positive comments everywhere, However, they are really very tight and the upper is not very high quality. I had trouble getting them on (they are sized a tad small), and the rear tab broke the first time I pulled on it. I took them to bootmaker to see if they could be stretched and the answer is no. Apparently they are made of corrected leather, which is pre-shrunk. So there is no way to stretch them. Get them a size larger than you think you need. Unfortunately, I am a size 13 and that's the largest size they offer.

Love the fit and style of this shoe. The only reason I can't give it a full five stars is because there is a
Blemish near the zipper on one of the shoes. It looks like a blot of black tar. It is on the white part of the shoe. I decided since it did not effect the function of the shoe, it was not a big deal, no need to return it.
Highly recommend this stylish shoe of yore.

These shoes have gotten attention from day 1. Arrived packaged very nicely, true to size and very comfortable!

This is a quality made shoe. The size on the box was 10D. I think "D" means wide. This should have fit my foot, but it was too narrow. Called the store and they said they have nothing wider, so I had to return it. I had been concerned the "spat" portion of the shoe would not be visible below my trousers. But it was and looked great. Sorry to have to send it back
