I purchased these gems to wear with my 58 th birthday bash ensemble. I walked all over New Orleans French Quarter and was completely comfortable! They looked amazing with my dress! I bought a size 8 and they were true to size. I sprayed them with a shoe protector and I did not have 1 marking on them when I got back to the hotel!
I got these shoes as a gift for myself during the Christmas sale, and they are simply stunning! I wore them to a convention for one of my costumes, which was a mistake on my part only because that was my first time wearing them, and I definitely should have broken them in over shorter amounts of time cause my feet were a mess by the end of the day 😅 But other than that, they fit perfectly and I’d suggest putting anti-slip pads on the bottom of them since they’re so smooth! Also, they’d be much more comfortable with actual stockings and not fishnets like I wore, but they’re not terribly tight or uncomfortable!

I’m a street size 7, but found in my last couple orders (Hazels 😍) that AD’s 7.5 fit me better for dancing.
I wear AD heels for vintage 1920-40s Swing Dance, Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. Comfort and leather soles on the dance floor are my top priority to protect my knees…but a girl wants pretty, vintage shoes too! I usually wear my AD Hazels, and get all those benefits and SO many compliments because of how stunning the shoes are.
I was eyeing these Teal and Copper Liliths forever. A giftcard and the Silver Bells sale made for the perfect excuse to snatch them up.
I was a little nervous of the T-strap style, as the top of my foot is a bit high (cuneiform bones/metatarsal area). While reading reviews, I debated between the 7.5 or 7.5W. However, I’ve had incredible customer service from American Duchess in the past. I knew I was in good hands if something was off, so I ordered the 7.5 regulars, like my Hazels.
The shoes came and they were stunning…

🥲The Sad?
I should have listened to my gut and ordered the 7.5W with the strap!
They mostly fit-ish (but felt quite a bit narrower/squishier than my Hazels in the toe box, which wouldn’t work for longer wear or dancing). Sadly, the ankle straps didn’t reach around to the closure at all.
That said, I knew I was in good hands. AD’s customer service was SO helpful (thanks, Jeanette! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️), sending them back was a breeze, and the 7.5W replacements arrived SO quickly.
TLDR?
The 7.5W are incredibly gorgeous. There’s a lot of wiggle room in the toe box, the T-strap fits great, they’re comfortable, the color is sensational, and, again, Jeanette’s customer service was so helpful.
For longer wear, I do notice the tiiiiiniest bit of tension in the T-strap on my right ankle, but there’s plenty of room to add an extra buckle hole to solve that.
In, the meantime I’ve been swivelling at home on the carpet to break them in and they feel very comfortable for dance. Looking forward to trying them out on the dance floor for real—and finding a dress to match! 💃🏼 Thanks!
These are the most beautiful shoes! I actually got them to go with two of my vintage inspired dresses and at first I was afraid they were going to be too narrow or tight on the crown of my foot but as soon as I slide them on it was perfect and beyond comfortable! I have worn these now twice for over 8 hours and they are just perfection! I get so many compliments, its very rare to find both beauty and comfort all in one and I couldn't be more pleased with these! They are so well made and stunning! I can't wait to grow my collection!
These are the first high heels I have ever felt like I could actually walk in! I purchased the "Lilith Women's Vintage Flapper T-Straps" in Gold, and they matched my vintage 1930s wedding dress perfectly.
I even did a little hiking in them as we traveled to different locations for photos.
These were a last minute find but they completed my look perfectly!
Ok first off I already have a pair of Edwardian boots from American duchess. The quality and customer service with this company are bar none. So when I got these shoes I expected nothing less. These shoes are perfect. They fit perfectly on my feet. They are true to size. The satin and the leather just go good together. They even impressed my soon to be husband. Can’t wait to wear them as I’m walking down the aisle.

My shoe size varies based on brand. After reading some comments, I decided to opt for the 8.5. They ended up fitting perfectly! I broke them in for several days before the event I was attending. At the 1940s ball I attended, I walked for hours over uneven surfaces with no issues and no pain. 10/10....beautiful, functional, and comfortable!

I absolutely love these burgundy, gold shoes and they are perfect for my great Gatsby 50th birthday party! The company was very easy to work with when the 6 1/2 didn’t fit and I needed to get a refund and order the size 7. Would use this company again! The shoes are beautiful and of great quality.
I love these shoes! Put them on immediately and walked, danced, all around my house. Very good support and a great fit. I am usually a 9 but only had a 9 1/2. It is perfect!
These shoes are gorgeous. I bought them to wear at my daughter's upcoming wedding. My dress is an ombre green dress with several shades of green so the green in the shoes are slightly off but I think they will be fine because there is alot of silver trim on these shoes so it should work out fine. We'll made shoes and even came with an addition set of heel replacements.
After resisting this gorgeous shoe for more than a year, I finally bought them. There is something truly LUXE about the silver leather-black satin combination that make it special. ART DECO style at a glance plus comfort too - I'm so glad I finally got them.
These are gorgeous in person, the little rhinestone details on the buckle are especially cute. Very comfortable, I am a 9.5/10 and got a 10 and they fit perfectly. Have not had a chance to wear them outside of the house yet but can’t wait!
These shoes are well made and fit beautifully. The color was exactly what I was expecting. I wore them to a formal dinner dance and they were comfortable all evening.
I bought these shoes for my wedding and was really pleased! Very cute and surprisingly comfortable. They were very secure with the strap so I was able to walk around easily. I wore them for about 5 hours straight for my wedding and was a little sore afterwards, but only because my toe started rubbing in the front. Would buy again!
