Exactly what I expected. Good quality. Heavy duty pants.

I love the weight of this fabric. It's like a thick yet soft and flexible denim. The pants look great and they feel great. Nice deep pockets! Solid construction! Warning: the waist is truly very high. Don't order these if you don't like that.

Very well made, Will require custom hemming, the pant legs are about 10 inches too long for me but I knew this before purchasing.

Would and will buy again.

Got these for a cosplay, they match the style and look exactly for what I was going for, and the material is great, they're more durable feeling then my actual work pants!

I was looking for something I could wear to a wedding that would also be the basis for a Steampunk outfit. These pants are great quality and are perfect for what I want.

You need to have the inseam taken up for your length. Also the Crotch needs to be brought up.
But these are quality Trousers, so it’s a small inconvenience.

These pants are perfect! They arrived quicker than expected. Workmanship and over quality is excellent. Super happy with this purchase. We are using them for an 1800's era Opera production; they would be great for any period look 1800 - early 1900.

These are first-class trousers, made of a very thick cotton. All sewing and buttons are top notch.
Regarding sizing, I wear Levi's in a 33 waist, but followed the instructions and ordered a 36 pair of Ludlows. Waaaay too big.
Reordered a 34 which fit perfectly! Fantastic purchase!

The web site recommends (in many cases) to order one size up, but that was not true my case.
I am currently exchanging for my normal waist size but I'm sure I'm going to love them.

I followed the instructions for determining my size, ordered 36 waist, even though my normal waist size is 34, and had to take the waist in 2 inches.

I bought the Ludlow Trousers as part of a costume I was going to wear to Comic-Con. Never having been to one before I was a little vauge on what my look should be but being influenced by the First Doctor from the UK Sci-Fi show Doctor Who I was determined to abopt a Victorian/Edwardian look.

Having "window shopped" the Historical Emporium on line for a while it was the first place I turned to for the products I wanted, and I was not dissapointed. The products I ordered are all top quality and the service just as much so. Can not reccomend or praise you high enough. Diolch

Let me start by saying that these pants seemed to be up to standard in terms of quality. But I sent them back for two reasons, costing them two stars. First, the fit was too big. Maybe it was a fluke, but it is what it is. Second, the color is... not any kind of taupe I've ever seen. To my eyes they have a greenish tint, and they are darker than I would have thought. I didn't find the color pleasing. Of course, that is a matter of personal taste, so, take it for whatever that's worth. If you want a solid pair of trousers that aren't the same old plain brown, you've found them. The fabric is nice weight, by the way. Lots of body, but not unpleasantly thick.

They are wonderful trousers, despite having to have them hemmed. Did have a problem getting used to full button down style. They fit just right, and are historically accurate. Will buy further sets in the future.

These trousers are high quality, fit extremely well, and it appears that they will last for years. My seamstress hemmed them up and I was good to go. Wore them to work and got many complements.

These pants are very thick and durable, while being stylish and comfortable. The only drawbacks: They refuse to stay ironed when worn, and they fuzz a bit in the wash. Still worth it.

Great product and great quality. Must fit true to size... Guess I will find out in a day or two. I accidentally ordered my husband the wrong size pants.... Oops. Had to reorder and process the ones I did order to return. Ended up expediting the new ones and hoping they get here by tomorrow for a party. But, from what we could see, they will be of great quality, just as the other items we received. I turned around and ended up ordering myself an outfit in the Ladies section. I think we will have the best costumes at the party! Thanks so much!
