Pure and simple, our Mansfield Tapestry Vest makes a spotless addition to a gentleman’s Victorian silhouette. Buttoned up but not boring, the softened tone of this waistcoat will illuminate your image and lighten your mood—utterly incandescent under a frock coat, in our humble opinion!

The vest front begs to be touched, with a soft texture that resembles the nap of antique tapestries. A low shawl collar, straight bottom hem, and five matching antique buttons add plenty of period detailing. Two inset pockets provide ample room for a gentleman’s small furnishings.

Shell made from 59% polyester, 27% acrylic, and 14% nylon; 100% cotton lining and back. Dry clean only. Available in sizes S–3X.

A very substantial weskit (vest)

The cut and pattern you can see in the photos, however this waistcoat begs to be touched. It's nice and thick and is rather fancy. I normally prefer 4 pockets, but that is a small compromise I am happy to make. The buttons are a nice accent too.

THIS IS A BIG VEST!

If you buy this vest, order a size down from your usual size. I bought a 2XL as normal, and it turned out to be too long and wide for me. I had to have it taken up, which cost extra for the tailor to do. It was a very expensive process for an already expensive vest.
I like the look and shape of it. I just wish there were more like it for sale in different patterns. I wanted one because it reminds me of an outfit from Blackadder's A Christmas Carol, only lighter. It fits into that Regency/Dickens era perfectly. But the pattern itself is a little bit fuzzy up close, which is disappointing (though maybe not surprising, given the technological limitations of the era.)
This looks great with black. Lots of black. It really stands out. I haven't tried brown though, as that's not really my colour. Also, it suits a high collared shirt better I think. So either Regency or Victorian high stand collar styles.

Perfect fit. Nice heavy weight textile as advertised. It will be my favorite waistcoat when the weather turns a little cooler.

Very Nice!

I've had my eye on this one for awhile and finally decided to go ahead and get it. First, the color is very close to what I see on my monitor. The fit is very good, true to size and not uncomfortable. Being a tapestry vest, the fabric is pretty thick. This is most noticeable in the collar area, but not a deal breaker by any means, but l will be wearing it in cooler weather. l have only briefly worn it a couple of times so far and have received a number of compliments on it. The Crimson or Walnut pants really work well with it.
