I’m stoked, I left a review for this shirt stating that I was having trouble figuring out how to fasten the Jabot to the shirt and right after posting it I started fiddling with the shirt and Jabot and within two or three more tries something clicked and I got it the way it’s supposed to be. Now if I can remember how I did it. Ha! Ha! I’m really liking this shirt allot.

Really nice shirt but for the life of me I cannot figure out the correct way to button the Jabot onto the shirt. I’ve spent 3 hours trying to figure it out since it arrived today. Neither YouTube nor AI have been helpful. I’ll figure it out eventually though. Stay positive. It’s a super nice shirt. First time ever trying a shirt like this and I should have paid attention to how I removed the Jabot in the first place.

Ordered this for a Halloween costume. I didn't realize just how full cut the body was and probably would have been better off going down a size or two from my chest size. The collar was taller than expected, and the sleeves were very deep and baggy, neither of which would have been solved by going down a size I imagine. I ended up returning the shirt and buying a different one. I wish there were measurements for the actual garment listed alongside the sizing recommendations and more photos showcasing the fit on a person. Sizing aside, it did seem to be well-made and lightweight, and the lace was gorgeous.

I use this as an undergarment for an 18th century character in an educational program. I ordered the smallest size available but it is still a bit large for me. It will do since it is mostly covered up. I mainly wanted it for the ruffles.
I bought this shirt to wear as part of a pirate costume for a costume ball. It fits nicely and I like the material. The neck is a little tight, but they said it would be. My wife made some minor alterations there, which helps a lot.
Loved the look of this shirt from the preview. Was pleasantly surprised to find out light and comfortable it was. The lace around the cuffs doesn't encumber hands too badly and the shirt's great to move in. My one "complaint," if you can call your own befuddlement a complaint, is that when I took the jabot off, it took me forever to figure out how to put it back on! (Got the hang of it eventually. And the shirt looks better with the jabot then without, so it won't be coming off again any time soon).

Beautiful shirt, speedy dealivery, gift for son who loved it.
The final step in creating my "The Duellists" look. After the first wash it smoothed right ou and came out incredibly soft. I'm fighting the urge to dye the jobot black, to match that worn by Harvey Keitel, because it looks so good just the way that it is :)

I've been looking for a shirt/jabot like this for a long time, and this one is just right! Material feels great, just the right amount of flair, and a great fit.
Great shirt that works well with slightly earlier period clothing. Lace cuffs are great peeking out from an 18th century style coat. Jabot took a little figuring out but once attachment system was understood, no problems.
The collar size is a bit on the small size when compared to the chest size. I have a smaller neck, so not a problem to button, but it could be for others. The sleeves are also a bit on the short size. They could make the sleeves longer and even if a person had shorter arms, it wouldn't hurt since the type of shirt and the ruffles would allow for it to still look good. I have longer (38 inch) arms a 44 inch chest. The end of the ruffles just reach the bones on my wrist.

I was looking for an appropriate shirt to wear with my Heroes of 76 uniform. This one fits the bill with a fancy addition. The shirt fits nicely and the jabot is easy putting on and taking off. Looks real nice with my uniform. Thank you!
This shirt is very well stitched and constructed. The sleeves have ample extra fabric for both the width and length, as would be appropriate for this style, and the lace is a decent length as well so that it would extend beyond the cuffs of a frock coat style. Although not made of natural fibers, the rayon fabric is soft and not too heavy and is comfortable to wear. This shirt could also pass for a late 17th early 18th-century formal shirt, with a different jabot. Highly recommended.

Bought this to pair with Historical Emporium's red and black Cavalier vest and it works perfectly. Love the shirt. Only minor critical comment is that I would have preferred a little less lace on the cuffs. However, that's just my personal opinion, and I would still give the shirt five stars. Well made and drapes well on the body. It does the job.
I was happy with the product. I ordered the s/m size and I am 5'9" and 175 lbs and thought it fit well. Wish it was cotton though.
The cut of this shirt is way too small! I normally wear an XL (17 inch neck) and according to the size chart that is what I should order. when it arrived, I couldn't even get the collar ends within an inch of each other. The shoulders and sleeves were small too. I returned it for an XXL. when it arrived again I was excited even though the shirt was now $10 more that I had paid due to the return, but my costume would be complete. Yet again the collar was small. This time the ends did touch each other so I had to have the collar buttons moved to the very ends ($15 at the dry cleaners for the job) and use collar button extenders ($20 on Amazon) to be able to wear the shirt. Per the sizing chart the collar should have been a 17/17.5 but the shop that did the button repair said that it was cut to a 16.5 inch collar.
I ended up paying a total of $105. 00 for a shirt that was advertised as $69. Not a good monetary choice on my part
Shirt wasn't what I was expecting. Will be returning.
