Newsboy Cap - Gray Wool Tweed

For Christmas the coming holiday but as it turns out will be for spring and summer.

St. Patrick's day.

High quality hat. I can wear it everywhere, dressy or casual.

Fit was true and good. Cap is high quality. Very good value for the money!

I really like this cap. I found it to be true to size and fits comfortable. I bought it in a brown tweed to wear with blue jeans or other brown pants for a casual look. True to tweed the cap has very small flecks of color which permits compatibility with any color shirt. The top button is neat and the sides of this cap are fuller than other narrow fitting driving caps and that's just the look I wanted. Thanks for this cap.

Excellent newsboy cap. Highly suggest it for Fall through Spring. Probably want to go with a lighter shell material in Summer.

Arrived in 3 days. My head is 7 1/4" and the Cap fits snug in the medium size. Great Cap well made. I bought both colors. I have had several nice comments about the hat when wearing it in public.

I love everything about this cap; color, fit, and finish are perfect. Threw a couple razors in the brim and wear it everyday. Highly recommend it.

The cap is great. I have no problem with it at all. I did think it would made of a heaver wool though. But all in all it's a great cap at a good price.

I'm fairly sure that I took my measurements correctly, but the Medium seemed too large (I have a 7-1/8 hat that fits me well, and several hats in Medium that fit me well by different manufacturers). I know the style is supposed to be baggy, but I thought I had about a centimeter or so of give, and the brim was noticeably wide my face. I might have asked to exchange it for a small, but I feared the small might be too small, and the brown tweed wasn't quite what I wanted when I saw it real life. The picture is pretty accurate, but the weave has specks of turquoise in it, which I just didn't think looked right.

HOWEVER: If it fits you and you like the look of the weave, it's a VERY nicely made hat. I order from Historical Emporium because I like styles that society has unwisely decided to abandon, not because I like to wear costumes, and Historical Emporium sells real clothes in these styles. This is one of them.

Seems like a good hat but sent the wrong size. Fortunately it fit my father in law as shipping back would have cost almost as much as the Hat. Late Christmas gift for him I guess so all good.

Wanted one of these for a long time, never quite found what I was after until I talked with a nice lady in customer svc. Answered all my questions about the different types of "flat" caps so I was able to get the right one. VERY happy with the cap as to style, quality, fit and color. Will be buying another soon.

Size was too small (xl). Not even close.

I first ordered a large but retuned it for a medium. Service was great and the medium fits my 22" (ish) head perfectly!

I had been checking all the men's shops in my area looking for "the hat". With no luck, I started searching the net, and ran across this site. Really liked what I saw. I took my chances finding that right of 8 panel cap...but they have a great return policy if I had any issues. But it looked real good... not too puffy, not too small... just right. love it. I'm back to the 1920's.

Thanks for this hat. While I don't find the tweed fabric itself very interesting, the hat is styled and cut exactly as I wanted. The size, too, is very true. I'm truly fond of my new hat, and I don't mind saying that I've tried quite a few that didn't meet my tastes. Customer service is very good.

A great product - quality and at a affordable price

About ten years ago, I bought a similar hat made in Ireland at an Irish Fest in the Chicago area. I somehow lost the hat and wanted to replace it. The newsboy cap I bought on this site was made in the USA, but almost identical to the one made in Ireland.

I have a very large head the XL will fit someone with a 7-7/8" size comfortably. Excellent workmanship and quality materials. I live in the Mid-Atlantic state MD, delivery was completed within 2 days from CA. Awesome!

Over 35 years ago, I purchased a newsboy cap for my husband at Disneyland - their hat shop was selling it as a replica of the cap worn by Bert, the chimney sweep (so wonderfully portrayed by Mr. Dick Van Dyke!) in "Mary Poppins." He has worn it every fall/winter since and it is on its last legs! We have been searching for a replacement for the past few years and after seeing your ad in 'Smithsonian' magazine, I found this cap on your website. It is practically perfect (the body is just a bit wider than the original), even made from the same sort of brown wool tweed. The size is perfect and the product is well made. We are sure this one will last him the next 35 years! Thank you!

I bought this cap shortly after getting the brown version. This cap was just like the first one. Great construction (Made in the USA) fits true to size and looks awesome.
Although I paid for standard shipping my order was sent 2 day mail in both cases.
