After a bit of a debate whether to get a pre-tied tie or one that I tied myself, I opted for this one because it was designed to go with my Pique Tuxedo Shirt. I'm glad I did so, because while there is undoubtedly virtue to being able to do it yourself, this one will ALWAYS look sharp. The fabric and construction are nice and sturdy. Admittedly, the cotton is non-slip enough that adjusting it while wearing it is a bit much, which makes fine tuning the fit a bit of a pain, once you have it where you want it it's not going to accidentally slip on you. Ever. And it adjusts down far enough for my slender, female neck, which was a bit of a worry.
