They fit well and are exactly as described. Other than to try them on, I've not worn them. I'm waiting until I can afford to purchase the rest of my chosen ensemble and the choice is an autumn and winter outfit. When I've received the entire collection, I'll most certainly send a picture. These are great folks to deal with.

With these spats, they will offset my navy, dark grey sharkskin, and green Alexander London worsted and tweed suits quite nicely. These appear to be a quality product, sewn ruggedly, made with durable material. However, I give these four stars, when they can easily have earned five. With these spats, Historical Emporium tries too hard by using wool cloth covered buttons. These, I feel detract from the look I'm trying to go for. I found some Italian 4-hole silver toned and antiqued metal buttons that are quite similar to the buttons on the herringbone spats, and have replaced the cloth buttons with these. Now, they ARE a 5 star pair of spats!

I bought these spats just before leaving for a train trip to a conference. I had complements on them all along the way and at the convention. I had a several hour stopover at Chicago Union Station and a man came up to men, said he hadn't seen spats in a long time, complimented me, and fist-bumped me. I enjoy the fact that these spats have real functioning buttons on them. My hands are a little stiff in the morning though, so I had to dig out my grandmother's button hook to button them. All part of the experience. Very awesome and I'll be buying more in the other fabrics and colors.

The product (spats) works fine and is well constructed. The problem I have is that the selection of spats is not remotely historically accurate or authentic. Polyester fabric, elastic foot strap, cloth-covered buttons; these did not exist in the heyday of spats. I have authentic spats from the period; wool felt, leather buckle foot strap, bare buttons. The problem is that I also have large feet, and the spats from Historical Emporium are the only ones I can find that fit. (Kind of like, "I know the game is crooked, but it's the only game in town.") I knew what I was purchasing, and what I purchased is well made and exactly what was described. My desire, though, would be for the product from a place calling itself "Historical Emporium" would actually be historically accurate.

Authentic, fully functional, heavy Tweed, Linen backed, metal buttoned. Paired with chestnut Cap-Toe shoes. Just WOW! Who would dare? - ME.

I have this thing about vantage clothes and spatz are one of items that just make my year complete. Still I'm looking for military spatz for the Navy high boots ones.

I loved these! The shipping and service was fast, the fit was just right, and everyone loved em. I wore them as part of a special outfit for graduation. Probably will buy more in the future for all occasions.

These are great and add to my wardrobe for formal wear today or reenactments, mens dress needs a boost at times with something different or colorful. so have some fun with it at times and you will be surprised with all the complements you will get .

They covered a bit more of the shoe than I thought they would.
