These shoes are so pretty, and were the perfect wedding shoe for me! They were an unintentional star-of-the-show, too—I was wearing a floor-length gown, and when I picked up my skirt for the glass-smash there was an audible reaction from the audience, and folks were asking to see them all evening, haha.
I generally live in supportive sneakers and clogs, so I was very nervous about being able to comfortably wear heels for a special occasion. I found the heel size and placement of these very stable, and the lacing meant I could have as much ankle support as I needed. Since I don't generally wear tight shoes, I can't comment on whether these run small/large.
As for comfort—I added a little arch support and cushioning for the ball of my foot, and did a little breaking-in by wearing around the house. When I wore these for 8+ hours straight, my feet were a little sore afterwards and I had a few unpredictable blisters (top of a toe?? Bottom of foot??), but this didn’t stop me from walking, dancing, and both of these while picking up my now-spouse!
These shipped quickly, and when I needed to make an exchange (incorrect size) the return process was straightforward and fast.
Looking forward to finding all the non-wedding outfits I can justify wearing these with, and will absolutely be buying from AD again!
I've been dreaming of having a pair of American Duchess shoes for literal years. Last night, I finally fulfilled that dream. First things first- they're much more comfortable than I thought. I'm a size 8 with wide-ish feet and went up to a 9, which fit perfectly. If you have wide feet and are nervous about whether the Tango boots will fit, just try going a size up. Even out of the box, I found them fairly comfortable (though your mileage may vary- I've worn more than my fair share of uncomfortable shoes in my lifetime). I wore them all day to the office, where I got loads of compliments. The quality is wonderful too- I can tell they'll last a long time if I take care of them. All in all, absolutely zero regrets!
I ordered 6 pair of these boots for a show, and only one was for a professional dancer. In her 4 hour rehearsal the back seam had a minor split and they got terribly scuffed. We were able to glue them back together for the shoot. Everyone loved them and thought they were much more comfortable than they look. And definitely get a half size up!

Last year, these were the ones that got away. I've been pining over them since last Bastille day, so I finally nabbed them. This are *STUNNING* The color, the graceful design, flawless. One note, they are a bit narrow, so if you're not sure, go for the wide width style. ^_^
I decided to splurge on a beautiful pair of shoes for my wedding, one that I could see myself wearing again for other special occasions. These shoes are so gorgeous and quite comfortable as well. I highly recommend them!
These are so incredibly beautiful. I appreciated they came with extra laces and heel bottoms. They are a little tight around the toes out of the box but I expected as such and they should adjust to fit as I wear or stretch them. They are a perfect addition to my wedding attire. <3
Purchased these as my wedding shoes and I am in LOVE. I was fully prepared to run around the house in socks and bandaids to break them in but it was completely unnecessary!!! They fit wonderfully and the leather is so soft. It's been hard not to pull them out and wear them already!! I thought it was so kind of them to include extra heel bottoms, laces, and my favorite flavor of lollipop! Literally bought a whole bag of that same kind because I liked it so much. Thank y'all for this beautiful shoe. It was my dream shoe and it's going to be PERFECT for the wedding. Would love to purchase more shoes. ❤️
They arrived earlier than expected in wonderful condition. They sent extra heel bottoms (idk what they're called) and laces. They even sent a lollipop! I cannot express how beautiful these shoes are. They will take some time to break in. It's been many years since I wore heels, but I'm actually excited about these! Thank you American Duchess!
We're so glad you like them! And yes, we highly suggest being gentle on your feet and breaking your new shoes in over a period of time - it's really a necessity for nice leather dress shoes. We want your feet to be happy!

Beautiful shoes. Ive been thinking about them for a year or so, so once they were back in stock i ordered. I recommend ordering a half size up! Returns are easy, but I couldn't wait to get these. Comfortable, and they come with extra laces and heel bottoms 👍🏼

i love these shoes. high quality and relatively comfortable for the heel height (i rarely wear high heels). i am a true 9.5, even though im occasionally a size 10 in boots and exercise shoes. i got size 10 and they fit perfectly.

These are the cutest shoes! I can tell that they’ll be super comfortable to wear for an extended time. I normally wear a 5 in heels but I did have to size up to a 6.
I've been dreaming about purchasing from American Duchess for years now and I'm in love with my purchase! They are well made and very beautiful, true to size and comfortable.
Surprise for the wife. She normally wears a 10.5-11 depending on the particulars of the shoe. I guessed wrong with these but the exchange process was a breeze and we had the new size on its way to us within a week.
My first pair of American Duchess shoes DID NOT disappoint! I've wanted a pair for so long and this pair is gorgeous. I purchased the pair in ox blood (in person they are slightly more brown) but still extremely happy. I would recommend correctly measuring before purchasing, I ordered a half size too small thinking they ran large but they are in fact true to size. The return process was seamless. However, what I am most happy with is the height. The 3.5" French heel is absolutely gorgeous and possibly their best decision when creating the shoe. They are also quite comfortable. I could go on 100000/10 purchase!!
I love these soooo much. Heels are not too high, so you can wear them all night. I was worried about the ribbons coming undone, but that wasn’t a problem. The color is a beautiful red.
Incredibly beautiful shoes. I bought multiple pairs & hope they never discontinue them. Only reason I give 4 stars is because they run so small. I normally wear a 7-7.5, had to size up to an 8. Aside from that, they're gorgeous & comfortable! Really hope they come out with more colors!
