These people at the emporium get better and better the more business we conduct and I wonder how that can be accomplished. This is going to, "make my day" as Harry might quip and... more than one day. It fits very well. It compliments my brown tweed vest, pants, and spats, all purchased right here. I'll be wearing this particular ensemble at some fall and early winter events where I'm a vendor. Of course they're going to get some pictures entering me into their contest. Check 'em out!

I bought this to complete the outfit. I bought the matching vest and pants a few months ago. It is made by Frontier Classics, which run a little small. Incentive to lose weight!

Very well made. Heavy frock coat. My correct size is 44R but it was too big in the shoulders. It's such a nice coat I choose to have it altered rather than spend it back.

Having been a Civil War reenactor for almost thirty years, in various time periods, I like the look of a frock coat. And wonder why they were ever shortened to the sack suit. The Emporium is my go-to shop for period clothing. I only wish I could afford more!

I loved this coat when I first saw it on HE modeled with some trousers I was interested in.

While I tend only to purchase natural fiber fabrics, I was very pleased with the look and feel of this blend! I was especially happy that it is a lighter/medium weight fabric than it may appear in the photos. But it's not an inexpensive feeling lightness -- it has a very nice hand. I already have long coats for cold weather wearing here in the PNW, so this one is absolutely perfect for spring, and even summer and fall. I'll be wearing it a lot!

This coat is nicely constructed, and will likely hold up for my lifetime.

The only negative is the plastic buttons. For me, they detract from the otherwise elegant look of this coat, but the price point for such a fine garment was very reasonable. I did replace them with some nice leather buttons, which likely would have added a lot to the shipped price, but make a big difference in the overall effect.

The Emerson Frock Coat is very well put-together. It's a little heavier than I was expecting. Not too much so but, with a cardigan, would make for a quite reasonable Fall weight overcoat. The inner pocket is a bit higher than one might expect, but not at all difficult to access. Just an adjustment going from my Coburn to this (plus left/right transition). Very happy with the build quality, fit, and finish.

This coat is exactly what I was looking for it is well worth the $$$$

Just what I needed for a slightly less formal frock coat.

The size is a little small but that's OK because I wear it in lieu of a jacket and wear it open. If I was going to wear it as an overcoat I would order a larger size. Light weight for southern living.

The coat is well made and fit my husband beautifully. It was delivered in a timely fashion, much sooner than I anticipated.

Nice length . It is vented which was not in the description. Shoulder were too big for a size 38 so have had them altered at $ 35.00 expense.

I really like the Emerson Frock Coat. I usually stick to 100% cotton or wool, but this coat is a very nice blend. The material is soft and comfortable and it has the weight of an average sports coat. It seems to be the same material as the tweed Inverness coat. The flap pockets on the front are functional, not just for show. The detailing is solid. All around, this is a nice, well made Frock coat. I am delighted to have added it to my collection.

Coat is well made, fits properly and looks great on. The only negative I might offer is that the nap of the lapel doesn’t seem to lie flat. It may be tailored incorrectly but it might just need a good pressing. I haven’t had a chance to sort it out yet. At any rate good value for the money spent.

Excellent quality coat. Sizing is accurate and the appearance is outstanding. Defininitly great value for the money.
