Traditional Cutaway Morning Coat - Black

Good fit and materials. It's become a wonderful addition to my wardrobe.

We bought this coat to go with western style pants, shirt, vest, and boots for a formal evening wedding. It it perfect to elevate the outfit into the formality needed. Can’t wait to wear this.

This is my favorite coat jacket of all time. I intend to wear it anywhere I wear a suit from now on. I love the long cut. It looks elegant and slim on me. The fabric and workmanship are excellent.

I had to appear in a morning coat suit for a formal academic event with European protocol (the men wore either their academic regalia or a morning coat suit). It turns out that the coat is not easy to come by in the US, but I was fortunate to run across the Historical Emporium's website. They had the right coat in my size in stock and shipped right away. It's a nicely made coat in exactly the right style, although the materials are modern, light weight and comfortable. I'd certainly buy from them again should the occasion arise.

I love the cut. It flatters my body and is overall great quality.

Received the coat and tried it on immediately and noticed how light it was, which was a very big plus for the temperatures that we find on the middle Gulf Coast of Texas. The sleeves were about 6 inches too long, but that was good since the wife can sew (I can too, but only when I have to) and she could fit it to my arm length. Very happy with the coat so far and see no issues at this time!

We were using this jacket as a costume piece for a show. It arrived in record time which was great. We also needed an extra large size which wasn't easy to find anywhere else.
The sleeves needed hemming but that 's ok better than too short. The coat was well made and can be kept for future endeavors. It looked amazing and really added to the character.

This is a good, basic coat - not particularly heavy, and the fabric is basic, but it works on stage

If you got your measurements done well this coat is a wonderful fit. I did some research on how the coat should drape on the person, and this rests really well on me. I am below average height for a Caucasian male in between 5'5" and 5'6". The morning coat is longer than is traditional due to my shorter stature, but I don't mind that at all. It looks like it was tailored just for you if the measurements were done right.

I am in a garage rock band, all of us 55+ years old, and we are beginning to play some larger gigs. I needed something to provide a little more stage presence, so I shopped around and ended up buying this coat. Fits perfectly, perfect look over a T-shirt with black jeans; gave me exactly the look I was after - - not over the top, but unique and a little classy.

The quality of the fabric and the craftsmanship is much better than I expected - - much better than some blazers I have spent much more money for. This coat is good enough quality that I would wear to a formal party. A good purchase!

I waited two years to buy this coat and when I slipped in on for the first time I was immediately in awe over the feel of the fabric as it draped around my body. The quality of this coat has no equal. I still need to take the coat to a tailor to make the coat form fitting but this coat demands attention as is.
