The vest looks great, of course. It's a bit tight around the middle; I had trouble buttoning it when I wore period high-waisted pants with it, but with modern pants it fit just fine. The fabric-covered buttons are hard to handle, though; I may replace them with metal buttons.

This was our second purchase of a vest from Historical Emporium and we were pleased once again. The shipment was very quick and the workmanship of the vest A+.

I bought this vest for a wedding I'm going to in October. The vest is beautiful and so well made, I could have gotten a size smaller but the fit is fine, I was afraid It would be to small because of other vests I bought on line and had to return them because the sizes they sent were way to small.

Ordered this for an accent for a groom's suit and he now shines. Paisley pattern is classic and the texture of the fabric is rich and detailed. Looks and feels very expensive. Very impressed.

Pockets are tacked shut, be warned before you jam your hands in the pockets.
Lightweight, excellent for fashion without adding weight to your outfit.

I'm a big guy... 6'3" with a couple of extra pounds, so every time I order a vest it's a gamble of whether it will be wide and short, or baggy and too long, etc etc. This vest was not only a perfect fit (shoulders, chest, waist and length), but the quality was apparent and I'm VERY happy with it. Highly recommended and well worth the $$.
