I bought this outfit to wear when I give tours at my local historical cemetery. It is beautifully made but I wish that they would make them in petite sizes. I have to alter the skirt because it is too long. This is the second outfit that I have purchased and both are way too long! How about offering these for women that are under 5'4?

I don't know how I missed the existence of this suit for so long. I will chock it up to not really wearing skirts and therefore paying more attention to the men's section. However, when I went looking for something to pair with my Gibson girl blouse, I did a serious double take, given that I'd bought a pattern for basically this exact outfit years ago, back when I had dilusions of learning to sew well. I'd even planned on using these exact colours!
Needless to say, I had to have it. Enter my wacky build. According to my chest measurement, I'm a S. According to my waist measurement, I'm a L. L was out of stock, so Mum and I looked at each other and, after some debate, decided that since I frequently wear M jeans, it would be worth it to order the M. Fingers crossed, I placed the order and...
...PERFECT FIT!
I about did a little dance when I tried it on, but there wasn't room in Mum's bathroom! And it's well made and the weight is lovely and the skirt twirls! This will undoubtedly become my 'most worn outfit with an actual skirt' in short order. I want to go to the park in it and just walk around looking amazing.

The skirt was a mile too long (I'm 5'2 1/2") and had to be shortened, but I'm looking forward to wearing it for my son's "Victorian" wedding reception next month. It is absolutely gorgeous! And my friend who shortened it for me says it's one of the best made items she's seen in a long time! Thanks.

The Edwardian dress suit looks very nice and fitted well. The dress is a bit long I'm 5'8 and I wore several layers underneath and still had an inch dragging on ground,but as a lady I just lifted the skirt and was on my way. Had many compliments on the color and style at the late 1800's Christmas Event at our local historic village. The price was worth the outfit purchased. Thank you!!!!!!

I am a docent in an historical home every Christmas season. Usually decked out in hoops, petticoats and a fabulous dress from the 1860s, I chose to do something easier this year so I could dress myself, be more comfortable, and not knock the ornaments off the tree. Going Edwardian, some 30 years later, was the answer. When this suit arrived, I was delighted to see the quality of the material and sewing. This is not a costume; this is a handcrafted piece. All it needed was hemming. With a black belt, hat, and the proper blouse and jewelry, this is a stunning outfit.

This is a beautiful suit, well made. Sizing is always an issue with me so I have to be very careful in selecting a size. The chart was a big help. The skirt is long but can be adjusted to my height.

Historical Emporium customer service and quality far exceed my expectation! Quality merchandise that always gets compliments whenever I or my husband wear one of our outfits from Historical Emporium. Always prompt delivery. My last ordered I placed on Thursday evening and received the following Monday and I didn’t pay for expedited delivery!!!! I returned 1 items due to sizing, wanting it replaced with a different size. I asked for the wrong size and their customer service called to verify I was ordering the right size. I had a last minute addition to my cast for a theatrical production, This was a larger woman who is difficult to fit. In desperation I turned to your website and found this PERFECT outfit. I purchased the blouse featured in the photo of this costume, along with the belt. I called customer service to verify it was available and shipping time. It came faster than I had hoped, and fit perfect! I did not have to make any fitting adjustments. Both the director and the actress loved it.
