Achieve a distinctive Victorian silhouette with our Livingston Cutaway Sack Coat, a faithful reproduction of the unique cut favored by gentlemen who wished to showcase their vests and pocket watch chains. Traditionally worn buttoned only at the top, this style allows the coat to drape open below the chest—offering both elegance and ease when sitting.

Designed with a refined notch collar and a slightly slim fit, this coat measures approximately 35 inches in length, making it slightly longer than a standard sack coat. While it features no exterior pockets to maintain a clean profile, two interior pockets provide practical storage for essentials.

Fashioned from 100% soft cotton with a 100% polyester lining for structure and comfort. Imported. Dry clean only.

PLEASE NOTE: This coat is designed to be fastened only at the top button. Although all buttons are functional, wearing it fully buttoned may result in a poor fit through the chest and shoulders.

Sizing Notes
Our coats are made with typical American sizing, meaning your chest measurement (in inches) is the size you should choose.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size.
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves.

I'm creating a mid-1800s clergy outfit and this coat, with the matching trousers (and suspenders) arrived quickly and, though the material is thicker than I would like, they fit as sized and only needing to shorthen the sleeve length and trouser hem. Amen :-)

Nice quality coat for the money

The Livingston cutaway sack coat is a VERY NICE coat for the money . It runs true to my standard suit coat sizing and fit me perfectly . The only problem i had was that the top button hole was sewn too small for the button . Easy fix for me so i just handled that problem in house.

A little stiff

The product came in good condition, and it was very sturdy and well made. It was just a TINY bit stiff when we took it out, so trying to get it into a more natural shape to put on our actor was a little tricky indeed.

Awesome products

Everything arrived on time for our event with the expedited shipping and the quality of the suit jacket and vest and tie were excellent! The pants were not the correct size , so I think on the next order we would check more closely on the style and the sizing of trousers .Overall very satisfied with this company and it's products. Would use again and would recommend to others
