This is my second chore coat, I now have one in brown and black. They fit great. I'm 6' 2" and about 230lbs. I got The XL. Sleeves are the perfect length, the body length is perfect. There is just enough room to layer with a heavy shirt and or a sweater. All in all, a great purchase.

I just received mine and it's great. They fit true to size. I'm 6' 2" and 234lbs. The XL is a perfect fit, just roomy enough if you wanted to layer a light sweater or heavy work shirt or vest underneath. The Workmanship is excellent. I will be getting a second one in black.

Finding myself needing to replace an old jean jacket, and having purchased shirts, pants, and bracers from Historical Emporium before, looking to them for a quality work jacket (chore coat), was my first thought. Finding the Mason Chore Coat answered all my needs. I find myself wearing it all the time now as my go-to coat. (Been getting more than a few compliments from strangers, too!)

Excellent product, well made, proper fit, period correct. I have never been disappointed by any product I have purchased.

I really like the style and fit of this coat. I was hoping as it is 100% cotton that it would not attract hair and lint like my wool coat, but it is just as bad as wool. I guess it is because it's "brushed " cotton. I have longer gray hair, so every strand that i shed really shows up.

I just got it in the mail when I was tinkering with rays and what not. Accidentally nicked myself with the shrink ray and this perfect fitting coat became uncomfortably large. It makes a good blanket though, don't know what I'll do when I become microscopic.

The coat was exactly as described and pictured but I ordered the wrong size (I ordered a Large and should have gotten a Medium). Even though I'm relatively geographically close to the warehouse I got an incredibly fast return turnaround delivery. Great (fantastic) customer service and excellent product.

For a while I have been looking for a coat or jacket I could wear with my Frontier Classics old west shirts, vests and trousers for an authentic old west look. I wanted one that was dark brown to suit the brown vest, brown bow ties, brown trousers and brown cowboy hat I have. I also wanted a coat or jacket I could wash as I am not easily able to get clothes dry cleaned where I live so this coat being cotton canvas seemed perfect.

I bought one of these in small. I am 5ft 7 with a 15 inch collar and 38 inch chest and the Frontier Classics shirts I have are small size and the collar on them fits me perfectly despite Historical Emporium size guide saying they fit 14-14.5 inches, so I thought the small might be the same in fit.

I live in the UK so had to pay extra for shipping, which I didn't mind as I couldn't find a coat like this in the UK. It took about 2 weeks form ordering it to get it which was good

When I tried it on, it fitted me well in the chest and collar when buttoned up and tits length was good too. However, I found the upper arm area of and shoulders just a bit too tight for me, especially when I moved my arms.

I enquired about that and was advised I could send it back for a return or an exchange for a medium or order a medium and check the fit of it and send back the one that didn't fit.

I ordered the medium size and in about 2 weeks I got it. When I tried it on, I found the arms had the right width for me and were not tight like the small size, but the chest and collar were too big and when I buttoned it up, it bunched up at the back so I had to return both.

That is unfortunate as I like the look and quality of this coat, just not the fit in the arms in the small size. If the arm width was just a bit wider, the small size would have been a perfect for me.

I already left a review for the tan chore coat which prompted me to buy the blue one a few weeks later. Not much else can be said about this chore coat other than that the texture of both coats are very different but equally impressive. It’s almost as if they’re two totally different chore coats. The blue chore coat is a more casual friendly, coat while you can really dress up the tan coat with a more semiformal look. This is one of the best chore coats being sold on the market at a phenomenal price. The construction is top notch, the coat itself has a very nice heftines to it, and I love the taper waist line, which really shows off the physique. As always historical emporium never disappoints.

The construction of this coat is extraordinary! This coat should be double the price or more based on its make and the materials used to construct it. The canvas is made of 100% cotton and it has a rich and unique texture that has a very durable feel and nice heftines to it, very similar to a trucker jacket. And the barely noticeable but tight stitching in the fabric is a testament to how well this coat has been constructed. I just love the modern style and the traditional charm that this coat brings with it. Fair warning, there is a very strong odor in the canvas that takes some getting used to, but for me, it just adds to the already intriguing allure of this coat. The odor becomes less pronounced over time and wearing of the coat.

I am a big and tall guy that wears between 54 and 56 in the chest, 48 in the waist, sports a 19 inch neck and wears a regular size and this coat fits me perfectly. The relaxed fit allows for a free range of motion and I love the tapered look around the waist and midsection making the coat appear more form fitting rather than giving the wearer that boxy look that most chore coats present.

This coat can be dressed up or down and the ivory color, (closer to eggshell than white), easily matches everything in my wardrobe. If you’re looking for a coat to add as part of your Spring and early Summer rotation, don’t make a chore out of it, just get this coat. I guarantee, you will not be disappointed. Thanks, Emporium

The shipping time was very fast. The fit and finish of the coat is excellnt. The historic styling is spot on. The quality of manufacture is again excellent. I highly recomend this coat for both modern use and second half of the 19th century historic impression.
