Norfolk Tweed Jacket - Tan Herringbone

A beautiful tweed to be enjoyed soon with the cooler weather that will eventually come. I have been wearing tweed most of my 69 years, it is the tweed that I feel the most comfortable.

I ordered a 2XL, which is slightly too large for me (XL is almost too small, and 2XL is too big). The jacket is very nice and very attractive, but it is very large through the shoulders. I may have to have the jacket altered for better fit (but I accepted that eventuality when I ordered the 2XL). The items I ordered arrived quickly and in good condition. I look forward to future purchases from Historical Emporium. I love the styles -- apparently, I was born at least 100-years too late.

Purchased for Barnaby Tucker in Hello Dolly; we decided it was time to build our late Victorian costume stock by investing in a few quality pieces. This jacket is superb. Fits will, nice fabric - exactly what I was hoping for!

I have several Norfolk jackets in pure wool (some bespoke and some off the peg). I have always wanted a Norfolk suit but they're pretty uncommon now except if you go the bespoke route. When I saw Historical Emporium's offering I snapped it up in my size hoping that 'L' would be right and it was just about perfect. I'll need my tailor to adjust the sleeve length (like on any ready to wear jacket) but it fit just right. It'll join my other Nofolks quite proudly.

The jacket is beautifully done and very authentic looking. I was a bit nervous when I first ordered, since I have never been able to buy a sport coat without tailoring. This coat fits perfectly. Love it!

This is a nice jacket for the money spent, and a unique style that you can't find anywhere else. The material is nice, but not quite as heavy as other wool jackets I own, and I am disappointed that it does not have any interior breast pockets. It does not have a "bi-swing" back, but since I got a "size larger", I will be able shoot while wearing it. This will be nice jacket to wear when shooting with the Vintagers and our old side-by-side shotguns.

I had my eye on this coat for some time and cheap as I am I could not resist when it went on sale, (sorry HE!), but the wait was well worth it!
I absolutely love "old style" clothing because it has such great character. This coat is no exception. Love the styling and the fit is spot on. I almost ordered an Extra Large because I'm tall and sleeves are an issue at times but the regular Large fit just fine while still roomy enough to layer underneath for those really chilly days. Historical Emporium has the best selection of items of any store I have seen. The prices are alway reasonable and shipping is always expeditious. This is not the first time I have purchased items from HE and I dare say it won't be the last!

We had to return this item due to size issues. A large was much too large, and we were reluctant to exchange for a medium. The fabric was a little rough, though attractive enough. Overall it was stiff, not as soft as I would like. But, still a nice jacket, and hard to find. Decently cut.

I first came to Historical Emporium only recently. I was looking for something in a classic style that I could wear formally; something that was eye-catching but not out-of-place to where I live. I took one look at the Norfolk jacket and fell madly in love with it. I mean, come on, just look at it. It's gorgeous. In the 30 days that I've owned it, people have given me only the nicest compliments for how it looks, especially as a substitute for a modern dress jacket. The only downside to the jacket, though it isn't much of one, is that it does get a little hot to wear in rooms and vehicles with the heaters running. Still, I am so satisfied with the jacket that I plan on wearing it for decades to come. It's an investment, a gorgeous one at that.

I have been searching on-line for nearly ten years for a new, affordable Norfolk Jacket. I even tried some local tailors to one one made, but they didn't know what it was. The price for the jacket was very good. The fit wasn't as good as I would have wanted (but there only was Small, Medium and Large). My measurements were closest to Large. Fortunately my wife is an expert sewer and was able to alter it to fit beautifully. Finding a pair of matching brown slacks proved very difficult-but eventually got a nice pair. I am now looking for a dark brown woolen tie to finish the outfit. Given the styling of a Norfolk, fit is critical. I recommend that anyone that buys one of these be prepared to have it altered by a tailor.
