This unlined, mid-length brushed cotton town coat offers a relaxed, easy fit. Designed to sit properly at the shoulders and fall into a loose, boxy silhouette reminiscent of a classic duster, it provides both comfort and period-inspired style.

Intentionally made to be worn open, this coat allows easy access to your gun belt while maintaining a structured appearance. If you prefer a more tailored fit, consider our Sable Sack Coat.

Crafted from 100% soft brushed cotton and left unlined for breathable comfort. The coat falls to mid-thigh and features a single back vent for full range of motion. Additional details include a three-button front, two front flap pockets, and one breast pocket.

Size Guide

Sizing Notes
This coat is made with typical American sizing in the shoulders, but has an oversized body, that is intended to be loose and boxy in the fit. Please use your chest measurement (in inches) to select your size.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size.
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves.

Looks good, keeps warm

This coat does not stand out from the crowd, but it will keep your 19th century citizen warm. We used it during an outdoor evening event in New Hampshire, and with some toasty under-layers, this coat stood up to the wind and kept our guy warm.

Runs Large

I bought this coat according to chest measurement for my husband. While it DID fit in the chest, it was just as large everywhere else. We had to have it tailored, and even so, it's still too big under his arms. It will work for afternoon events, as a wool coat would be too hot. The material is similar to a heavy, soft denim. My husband is happy with it, so it's all good.
