These are gorgeous and actually comfortable! I love them. I can wear them with a dress or capris or even jeans. They take a while to button but I get compliments every time I wear them. (I don't use a button hook because I'm afraid of scratching them.) They are head-turners.
Got these for Christmas and was over the moon, but not sure how often I’d wear them. They are surprisingly comfortable- and I’m a wimp about pointy toes. They look great with winter skirts and I even like them with jeans.
These shoes are so pretty. Which I expected. I did not expect them to also be extremely comfortable. Best shoes I own. I wish I could try the shoes on in a store! Just to see if one size smaller would be better, but a thicker sock does the trick.

I've wanted these boot for a long time. They're very well made. I bought the button hook, too. There is a bit of a technique to button them. My suggestion is to be gentle and you'll have better luck.
The boots fit incredibly well. I can't usually walk in heels but these don't even feel like heels! The leather is beautifully soft and needs no breaking in. Highly recommended! I had to go up a full size though since these run small.

I decided to buy these after having them saved for what seems like forever. They shipped really quickly and were packaged really well. The only problem I had was a button slipping off when I tried to button them up for the first time. However, it wasn't a problem as they included extra buttons and it was incredibly simple to fix. I definitely would recommend getting a hook to help you put them on because those buttons are torture without it. They fit perfectly

These Tavistock Button Boots were perfect. They were comfortable, fit very well, easy to button and unbutton, sturdy and look timeless and classy.
The leather soles are also a nice touch and very authentic.

I previously wrote a review complaining that the shoes I ordered did not fit even remotely, despite being on the larger end of the sizes I normally buy. After some deliberation I finally decided to try a full size larger. And... they are great!! super comfortable and look amazing. And thankfully, I didn't have to move the buttons. But my word of caution on these boots is you may have to try multiple sizes before you get one that works, so be extra prepared to go through the returns process, maybe more than once. And if you wind up having to move the buttons, god help you, because I certainly can't.
(And seriously... don't forget your button hook. You can get out of them without one, but getting in? don't even try it.)
I eyed these boots for ages before I finally took the plunge. I’m so glad I did! They’re elegant and comfortable enough to wear for a full day of walking. I’ve worn these with skirts and dresses to great effect, but they look INCREDIBLE with my black skinny jeans. Now I can rock my punk jacket on top and some rad “granny boots” on the bottom. Just as a note, I did find that I needed the button hook to put these on. While it’s possible to do the buttons yourself, it takes significantly longer than just using the hook (over five minutes + at least one curse word without the hook vs. one curse-free minute with the button hook). You will also need to give the boots time to break in. They pinched my toes when I first got them, but I’ve found that the leather has relaxed over time and become extremely comfortable. The toe is narrow, though, so I stick to thin socks or tights. Overall, I’m very happy with these and have received numerous compliments on them!
These boots made me so happy as soon as I tried them on. Website advice on choosing the right fit is spot-on. I have wide 6.5 feet so purchased a pair in 7 and I could walk around all day in them! Beautifully made with attention to detail - they even include extra buttons and an extra pair of heel taps. Lovely! Well worth the price! If you don't already have a button hook, be sure to include one in your order as it will make fastening them much easier.
I accidentally ordered a size too small and the return was quick and extremely easy, no trouble at all! The shoes are wonderfully made and I definitely would be happy to purchase from here again.
I used my term project in my historical dress class as an excuse for myself to finally buy some of these boots! I ordered size 6 after comparing my measurements to the size chart and they fit true to size for me. They are very comfortable (need to be broken in a bit, they are leather of course) and certainly fit the era. I have fairly small ankles and so I was able to do up the buttons without a boot hook (I gave it a try, just to see!) but I would definitely recommend using one, especially if you plan to wear them often. It makes the process a lot quicker and easier.
First off, these boots are beautiful, and I'm happy I finally have a pair of button boots that I've been coveting for years.
I normally wear a size 8.5 - 9, but I have wide feet and *very* wide calves (16.5" at their widest, and just a tad over 13" where the top of the boot sits, which is about mid-calf), so I decided to order size 9.5, since there is no "wide" option here anymore. That was the right choice - they do fit my feet perfectly, so my toes do not feel pinched, and it will *just barely* fit around my calves if I move the top buttons 7/8" from the edge (the top button currently sits 1-3/4" from the edge. I cannot button the top 3 buttons as they came.
Now this is where I was surprised, and why I'm knocking it down a star. I expected the buttons would be sewn on with thread as depicted in the video about how to move the buttons, but they are actually attached to an elastic loop, and that loop is sewn into the boot in a sort of buttonhole placket that the button sits in, and doesn't show on the underside. No doubt, this is more secure and able to hold up to the wear and tear from the button hook, but it makes moving the buttons suddenly way more complicated, and will definitely leave much more visible holes (0.5cm slits) than I expected when they are moved to accommodate my large calves.
A wide calf option would have been much appreciated, but I am still happy to own these!
